I’m so impressed with Fedor’s obvious commitment to his learners. He’s just a natural teacher! I started learning when lockdown first happened - wasn’t too sure at first but Fedor’s enthusiasm helped to keep me going. We’ve just started a U3A (University of the 3rd Age) group in Plymouth (UK), but we’ll only meet fortnightly, so these videos will be the mainstay of any progress I make towards being able to communicate in Russian. It would be nice to have contact with Russian speakers, but this is pretty impossible at the moment! Keep up the good work, Fedor, and thanks for the inspiration!

I could actually read a first grade book. Well all that faded through the years and all I remember was yes, no, thank you, and goodbye. For me being a little hearing impaired the endings of Russian words kinda to me run together unlike French or Spanish. But I'm going to save this and try to learn these words. It'll help me with listening and trying to get every sound. Susan was the one trying to teach me and she was very patient. Then they moved. On my father's side I'm part Russian amongst other things.

I just want to start off by saying. What you do Is badass, I play dayz which is zombie survive which takes place near Russia. So I play on a Roleplay Server and theres people who are native Russians. So I figured it would be cool to talk to them in their language. They spoke perfect english but I wanted to learn a new language and this was as good as any time to learn. And now the little I have learned. Now I have some Russian buddies who are very cool and I talk to them almost every day so thank you for what you do.

Good luck! But keep in mind that literature russian and gamers slang are two different things. And dayz has its own slang. Probably, I don't play it :)

It's incredible to see how many words in russian sound and mean something similar in spanish or other languages. Makes you think about all the intersections our cultures have had over millenia of development. Spanish, for instance, has over 4000 words that come from arab, beeing the second most influential language after latin for it.

"Здрастье" сильно отличается от "здравствуйте", первое очень фамильярное и в некотором роде пренебрежительное, и его не следует использовать, если хочешь оставить хорошее впечателение о себе. В обычной повседневной речи при общении с людьми, которые не являются близкими и с которыми вы сохраняете уважительный тон, нужно говорить только "Здравствуйте"
@Yaroslav_Rus Жыл бұрын
Думаю можно использовать и "здрасьте", если с уважительным тоном. Звучит по простому и не столь официально, но явно не фамильярно, особенно в сравнении с "здарова". Хотя мнения могут быть разные.
@user-iz1dt5pm7d Жыл бұрын
@@Yaroslav_Rus нет уж, здрасьте прям пышет фамильярностью. Ты этого не скажешь человеку, с которым ты не знаком
@hellokitty1749 Жыл бұрын
@@user-iz1dt5pm7d сорьки, но я всегда так говорю, милым голосом)) звучит всегда прилично. Здравствуйте это официально очень, например с шефом или работодателем или к челу кого уважаешь, к пожилым… ну ваще зависит от ситуации, иногда ко всем здрасьте или здравствуйте, короче все это чередуется в зависимости от настроения и ситуации мб)))
@border_lands20 күн бұрын
Нормальное слово, просто иногда не надо его использовать в официальном контексте, или на деловых встречах, само слово не фамильярное, это скорее от условий зависит

I've been learning a bit recently. The sound and pronounciation of the words seems easy for me. I think the hard part for me is learning the Russian alphabet and associating the symbols/letters used. When its spelled in English lettering its easy.
@user-jl7vr9wv3x8 ай бұрын
Сначала учи просто слова. Этого достаточно, чтобы тебя поняли на улице. Так же говорят русские в англоговорящих странах, не используя правильно времена и окончания слов. А когда наберешь достаточный набор слов, уже нужно общаться с носителями, которые объяснят почему нужно говорить так, а не иначе. Это норм. Без базы основных слов никак не сможешь общаться. Так всегда и везде.
