actually that's what the LPR and DPR militias have done: liberated their land from the Kiev regime - understand this: those people will never ever again allow Kiev to rule them - Kiev forfeited sovereignty when they allowed the US to dictate their future by enabling the bloody 2014 Maidan coup and choosing their subsequent leaders - now the US is sacrificing the blood of Ukraine in its proxy war against Russia - feeling terribly sorry for Ukraine

Larger generators, particularly military ones, will run on diesel and other similar fuels such as kerosene/Jet A1. Smaller ones will need petrol. I’m a veteran, I have never picked up arms towards an enemy that was forced to be there. The trench videos give me mixed feeling now that forced men and boys have been placed in them. At the beginning of the war I truly believed they were lied and I felt kinda indifferent but now we know for sure what is happening. No training or preparation. One things most Russians and Ukrainians agree on is how close their past was with Ukraine being the inspiration for Russia being a country and not the other way around, in one strike the Russians damaged a church that outdated Russia by at least 100 years. Most Russians in Moscow admit to having close friends and family in Ukraine. It has to be hard for the Ukrainian troops to shoot at and even kill these guy knowing the are forced to be there and one can argue that they can surrender but that’s not fool proof. I know Ukraine is fighting for their freedom and lives and nothing can compare at this time. It’s just hard to swallow.

That may be true up to the point at which mobilized soldiers invade a sovereign nation and are part of a force trying to wipe out your people. Then it is not fellow Slav. It is an invader who must be stopped, if neccessary by killing that person. Moral ambiguity ends when the invader is there to destroy your nation. Russia doesn't have friends. It has vassal states it looks down on. If Russia unravels after this, watch how quickly ethnic regions will attempt to break away. They hate the Russians, they just can't get them out of their historic territories.

Absolutely not and I just forgot to mention that. I’m talking about the ones that truly believe this is bad and Ukraine is a free country. The sight of multiple M270 firing is impressive. Each GMLRS rocket usually carry multiple warheads, bomblets, or an air-burst trigger. @@SunriseLAW Comrade, is it bothering you that the Red Army has already taken more than 150,000 casualties? If it is 40,000 KIA (and I'm being generous), then there are probably between 120,000 - 150,000 wounded. My guess is that it is probably way more than 150,000 but let's just call it that. Guess where else the Soviets are going to pull out of? Luhansk, Donetsk and Crimea..... ......oh yeah, and good-bye Comrade Putin......!!!!!

@@SunriseLAW "Occupation Army"......now that is some funny shit, Comrade. Would those be the crippled, drunk, convicted "Occupation Army" mobilized after 21 September? You must be a comedian. By the way, Comrade.....you know what is a horror? Already LOTS of reports of your so called "Occupation Army" ending up dead and headed back to the Soviet Union in body bags......that is, the ones that are not left on the battlefield by their Comrades to rot in the Ukrainian sun. Hahahahaha....some of those dead "Occupation Army" didn't last 24 hours after hitting a front line trench. By the way.....one more thought.....the Red Army started out with about 400,000 troops (Soviets - 200,000; additional Soviets mobilized Apr, 22 - Aug, 22 - 50,000; LNR/DNR including conscripts - 75,000; Georgians - 30,000; Wagner & Prisoners - 50,000). My guess is that there were AT LEAST another 50,000 - 100,000 on top of that, but we'll start with the 400,000. Mobilizing another 300,000 won't even cover your dead and wounded, Comrade.....and now you are digging in to defend? You know that the Ukrainians have about 500 highly mobile and self propelled artillery guns capable of launching 155 mm GPS guided artillery and landing on your dinner table from about 70 - 80 km away, right? You know why the Ukrainians are not in a hurry to initiate a full-on offensive right now? Because the have a on-shot-one-kill strategy for the next 6-months where they can destroy ANY Red Army target (including individual soldiers) from 70 - 80 km away.....and they have an unlimited supply of these highly precise Artillery pieces (look up M1156 Precision Guidance Kit). Between the M1156 PGK, M982 Excalibur, and the German Vulcan, it is going to be a VERYYYYYYY long winter for the Red Army!!!!! By the way, just as a frame of reference, on 29 September, Northrop Grummen celebrated the production of the 100,000th M1156 PGK.......so Ukraine has A LOT of precision firepower!!!!!!! Oh yeah, and one more thing......Ukraine also has ALL of NATO's best satellite assets identifying targets for them in real time and providing targeting data directly to all of those Guns. Please give my your thoughts on that, Comrade......

I was reading on another post, from a Ukrainian, that brown bears are either found near the Carpathian Mountains or the Chernobyl exclusion zone, none had been seen in recent years, but evidence of them had been. So I would say that solder is likely near the Belarus border waiting for those stupid orcs!

Trenches can become tombs. When the line breaks they're lines of sight into Russian defenses. Tanks with dozer blades just filled them in in Iraq. Flooding them is relatively easy if there's source nearby. It's a 'shield wall' in the dirt a.k.a. last stand on the front line.

Trenches only really work when you have several hundred meters at least of flat, uninterrupted no-mans land in front of them. And you need structures to stop tanks(hitler teeth, pits and steep walls that tanks can't climb over)below line of sight, so trenches should ideally be on elevated grounds. Barbed wire, several parallell strands close enough to each other that if someone manages to cut one, odds are that the ends will snag on the next wire instead of curling up into balls and leaving a wide gap. In addition, they need to zig-zag(with sharp corners, like the Germans did during WWI) to limit blast damage from artillery shells and strafing machine-gun fire from planes or tanks. That should bring it up to spec for WWII... Then you move your soldiers somewhere else, and you're ready for modern day warfare...

Trenches give moderate protection from direct fire coming from an expected direction. The best defense for Russian troops is to flee to Georgia before getting conscripted.

The Ukrainian forces should be PROUD of what they have accomplished, and I am SURE they are! President Zelensky has said many times how thankful he is for their work and support! I don't think we realize the problems from wildlife that they face as well, as seen by this bear the Ukrainian soldier has encountered! That was, in a way, funny as well! I hope he got out ok and the bear is ok as well. Slava Ukraine!!!

@@janolavborresen3893 Well basically NATO trained them, but yea they have lots of hand in experience. But it has only been a year since we left Afghanistan. It least Iraq is sort holding there own even though they have there issues. But for a new government the country could be much worse. The one thing that worries me is North Korea what's to basically sell his Troops to the Russian Army to fight. Putin needs to go home.

@@JAM661 The Glorious Leader of the North Korea may have considered sending troops, but... He may be mad, but he's not stupid. If he sent troops, Putler would use them as cannonfodder to save his own Slavic troops. (He has already shown that doesn't care about non-slavs fighting for him. Just look at how the 'volunteers' from the occupied areas have been treated all this time) The North Korean Army is supposedly a pretty decent fighting force, and they've spent a lot of money to build them up into that. That's money Kim won't like if it gets wasted as cannonfodder. No, he'll make the appropriate noises, and may even sell some ammunition and small arms, but I wouldn't expect much moree from there.

As a career US Army Combat Engineer, I never understood the Russian desire to dig trenches. We stopped doing that after World War I. During Desert Storm, we attacked the Iraqi trenches with armored bulldozers. Just turn parallel to the trench, drop the blade, and drive. With modern submunitions, trenches are a death trap.
