TL;DR I think you’re right, and Vanoss is a good example of what was good back in the day, but not keeping up to date with trends and humor kills the vibe and makes the content stale. If I remember right, Vanoss at least used to write out the skits he and his friends did, idk if that’s still the case, but if it is, that would explain a lot. Hard to keep coming up with original material after a good dozen years of posting videos weekly. They’re probably more off-the-cuff now, but given that they’re centering on that 2010s edgy humor that’s basically only funny when it’s 3AM and you’re with your closest friends, I’m relating to Grouse’s statement of “turn that bullshit channel off, I’m trying to go back to sleep.” It feels like watching a time capsule I dug up after I was there when it was buried in the first place- still kinda cool and funny, but it’s not for me anymore.
