So first at all,you probably not Nikola Petrovic,if you are ,then you wouldnt leave the negative comment about kosovo and serbia ,as a serbian you should know that kosovo always was part of Serbia so i dont see what's wrong if serbs try to fix that.in the same time is very questionable who is Ksenia because she is causing unrest in Serbia with her untrue blog posts when explaining the relationship between Russia Serbia,it seems like she tries to cause animosity between two peoples, her blog was definitely not well received in Serbia.

Hi Kseniya The train at Novi Sad looked very modern and the countryside reminded me of trips I made decades ago in Germany. Totally captivating. Bombed out buildings... Reminds me of the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtnis Kirche which was bombed out during World War Two and part of the ruins were kept as a reminder of where war leads. My wife has been to Belgrade and commented before on what an attractive city it was. Wonder it that elevator was an addition, really tiny so it could fit within the well on small existing staircase? Never seen one like it. You get to see lots of cool stuff you'd never guess existed when you travel to new places. Burrito looks good! I'm not a big fan of Corona beer, but you have to try it in Mexico to fully enjoy it. Down there in all that heat, it makes sense. In Canada I normally prefer something darker with more taste. Boring landscapes? Not at all. Your trip went through some stunning country. I don't know much at all about Serbia, including how beautiful the territory around Belgrade appears. Love the way you're driving past mountains and Djerdap Lake and then an old castle just happens to roll by. Germany was like that, flying at ground level by ICE train. Really spectacular in places. The sunset behind the winery is incredibly intense. What a vibrant orange! As for all the wine? You're young Ksenya, you've arrived in a beautiful new country with friends where you can be free. I guess you can afford to blow a few neurons every now and then! (This can add up though). Greetings from Canada!

@SailorNom2 жыл бұрын
Lots of Russians and Ukrainians left their countries not because they are deeply in love with other countries, but because they were looking for safe place where they can express their opinion openly. If you disagree with Serbian government you can go to the streets and say it. I couldn’t do it in Russia.

Very beautiful countryside. You don't have to be tipsy to meet friends. You never have to get drunk unless you want to. Just be yourself and let the chips fall where they may. Some people get self-conscious when there is no reason to be. 90% of the people you meet will probably never remember you or see you again. So what do you care what they think of you?

If I had your contact info or somewhere where I could privately send u messages I could give u some advice based on experience (I know u haven't asked for that so I apologize in advance). But there are currently mass migrations going on around the world. People seeking peace and safety without knowing exactly where they're going. Of course that's not your case my friend. And you probably know by now that I don't make comments on your country's situation, but every hour as we speak there's a mass influx or outflux of immigrants flooding the airports and bus stations of Europe and America alike. Especially students are suffering right now, when i arrived as a student to Belgrade 10 years ago i could find affordable place easily and it was not a big hustle, now i see it's close to impossible and parents of those kids are put into situation to give big chunk of their wages for rent. Belgrade and Serbia are considered as good choice for Russians who wish to leave Russia and settle elsewhere. A good side of living in Belgrade is that newcomers are always welcome, so that thousands of Russians and Ukrainians settled here during past eight months. However, renting of flats in Belgrade is more expensive every day due to rising demand for flats and salaries in Serbia, except in IT sector, are lower than in most of Europe. So, it is good to live in Belgrade if you work in IT sector or start some other private business, otherwise you may try to buy cheap house and land in some Serbian village and try to live there.

Hi Kseniya, you will find out that your name is actually quite familiar in former Yugoslavia :) Hope you are having a good time there, I'm from Croatia, and I think you made a right choice: going abroad is better than going to war. Many reasonable Serbians & Yugoslav people will agree with this statement, as you know in former Yugoslavia we had some "practical" experience with war and people here never been Russophobic, locals understand that government is not the same as people. Serbians as most of Balkan & Slavic people are welcoming and they like to drink, I remember once a Polish friend of mine which was living in Serbia for few months, she told me "I think I became an alcoholic here, since I came to Serbia there wasn't a day that I didn't drink". No need to feel sorry for getting drunk there, it's normal... alcohol is generally cheap & they have some great wines like Traminac from Vojvodina region (near Danube). Hope you get the chance to explore the neighbouring countries (some are visa free for Russians like Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania and even Croatia which is in EU is less restrictive than some other EU countries).

Hi!! I didn’t know about my name, but I noticed that locals can easily remember it and pronounce correctly! Guys please, when you come here, don`t offer to pay hundreds of euros for an apartment. I am from Novi Sad, we are having major issues with rents, they are raising the prices so high that 2 salaries are needed just to cover the rent. How can a family of 3 survive like that? Please, do not offer to pay more and don`t agree to paying ridiculous prices cause you are putting people in an awful situation. Prices were raised because of immigrants from Russia and Ukraine and their willingness to just pay whatever.

The Danube near fortress is about 5 km wide. Then it goes into the gorge, narrowest spot barely 100 meters. How it is possible, that amount of water to be squeezed that much? The deep goes from 5-6 meters to 100.
