This is a brilliant idea Nastya! It is much harder to memorize words alone, especially Russian. But in context it is much easier and also you get the grammar rules to recognize and practice. Combination with most used words is the icing on the cake! You are very smart Nastya. It would be great if you could make the dialog text available somehow to download.

I want to get at least fluent up to B2 level before I graduate, meaning I have two years left. I had 2 semesters of basic Russian courses so I know a little but I have been struggling to pace myself and stay consistent with my studies and ended up forgetting a lot. Since I love reading Harry Potter fanfictions and stories, I am trying to motivate myself to learn again to read these stories I found on AO3. Wish me luck!!

Self test is a powerful tool of learning. So if you watch the vidoes of stories by Short Stories In Arabic that nice lady repeats the story without the English subtitles the second time around to let the viewers test themselves. Please look into replication of that technique. Re test is powerful.
