That turned out well, never used the min wax gel stain before I have to try it never had success with any other stains in the past.

@@RussOlinatzPaintShow Hello Russ, I have used much min wax oil stains as well Varathane oil stains & their basic stains tried them all & would never leave a nice look always looked like brush marks when bar top dried so I used rags or pads to apply & would still show brush lines, I had to sand down the bar top many times & try again so I wound up doing best I can with rag & lived with it, I wanted to use a clear coat resin on it after the stain but didnt want to take the chance of ruining my bar top being it may have left brush lines in the resin as well even if I used rag or a pad, I will try your method sometime in the future using the gel may give me way better results, thanks for the posting of this recent video that door came out excellent👍

And might I suggest the folding 4’ long table. As a fellow painter… I can’t bend over no more lol 😂 to pick up supplies. It folds and half and has adjustable legs. I also use a fan heater to help me with door drying. Your amazing thanks for sharing

Thank you for your amazing video! Im going to try the strip and restain as my door started peeling. Its only 3 years old but not sure if it was done right to begin with. Do you still like the products you used in the video or have any new brands you like better?
@RussOlinatzPaintShow8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Check with the door manufacturer to see what they recommend.

Beautiful finish. I also have a therma tru fiberglass door and after the polyurethane dried it left a milky white finish. I was very disappointed. Wondering if it had to do with the temperature. May have been to cold so I’m going to try again. Thanks for posting this video very helpful.
