I just started with a group of friends of varying experience.. we died a lot meeting up at the supermarket but we eventually took down two guys holding the place up with our rocks and spears. Farmed up and made a little base and I discovered instruments on my solo play through and learnt about midi files.. when we finished up our base which was the replica of yours in this. (Made by the one guy who knew what he was doing.) i got him to get a workbench so I could make my first piano. We played tunes for the next hour as I took requests and found the files and dropped them into the mixer. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Fun fact go for bears for low grade early you can put down a twig foundation and the bear will just stand next to it while you bow or spear it

My best tip if no one else has told you or you've figured it out yourself, never back out of a recycling menu if it's running unless there's danger. If you're in a save zone smelting crude oil for low grade, anyone can take it for themselves if you back out the menu.

A useful fact for tc: when broken the resources listed for 24 hour protection is automatically taken and put to the base so it won’t decay till a day later Plus all items slowly and I mean *slowy* repair using extra resources from the tc

I just download rust today, been playing for about 10 hours, already hate the game. All these tutorials tell me "get cloth! get stone!" while I'm over here struggling to find a single stone node or hemp plant. Each time i progress at all it's always shot down (literally) by a guy who has a sniper and gains nothing from killing me. Literally. He has guns and I'm here with 1 wood spear. What could he want other than doing it for fun? I know I'm gonna get comments like "play the game more and u will get farther and farther" not how it works for me, I usually make my first wood spear, then die about 1-2 minutes after. My best run you may ask? I made some clothes and a wood spear then died. That was it. Each time I start it's not "experience" it's typically how lucky I get. This game is honestly wearing down my mental health. Each time I die to a player, slur, kys, you suck, easy, fucking bad, etc. I ask for help in the chat "where do i find hemp plants I've been looking for so long" some guy responds "bro stop fucking complaining and play the game" or "uninstall you fucking suck" fucking hell...

ig rust just isnt the game for you, maybe if you want a survival game experience without the pvp maybe peaceful mode on the forest would be a better experience!

2 questions...how long, if at all, does it take resources to respawn? I’m talking pumpkins, barrels, stone deposits, trees, etc. Also, how do I remove structures I dont want, like a wooden door to replace it with a metal one, or a stone wall to expand my base? If that’s even possible

Ive never played rust but have watched it for a very long time so my bad if my instructions is not accurate. 1 if u are playing in a high pop server than things are more likely to spawn very fast like maybe around like 5-10 min each time they've been looted. 2 u can upgrade your base into higher tier with an hammer and and the hammer is in your quick craft section and if u want to pick up anything on ur base u just lneed a hammer or a building plan and and also to have a tool cupboard access obviously.

I've owned rust for only 12 hours and have only 4 hours of gameplay. My first ever game I had nothing but 4 scrap, a rock, and a torch. It was night so I had my torch lit. I was on a road and a car started driving towards me so I crouched up and down. Well 3 hazmat suits jumped out and all of them had sars and easily used about 10 bullets each killing me. I hope that 30 or so bullets was worth only 4 scrap.
