as a skater, that would work better for decoration than actual riding purposes. the deck isn't gonna have a very good pop and likely won't last too long with that split. I could be wrong but the deck looked waterlogged and I know for sure that painting the wheels wasn't a smart move if it was intended to be functional that being said it is a great restoration

The trucks still seemed decent, would change out bushings. New bearings would be good as well, and especially new deck, that's gonna lose its tail after a ollie

This takes me back to when I was growing up. Neighbourhood friends modding their skateboards, exchanging wheels and adding neon grip tape. Then also adding interesting stickers. Finally roaring down the sidewalks to the local cafe to buy candies and sodas.

I always read the comments, because I want to know what the others think. There are 2 meanings, do not use it and sad that you do not use it… funny. For me it was clear from the first second that this can only be for decoration, as the board had cracks and you glue it. For a Board in use this is useless… so there is no need for complaining that you did not use it at the end. That you clean and paint the wheelaxles, and did not buy new ones, this is why I like this channel. Painting the wheels is in my opinion to much, here I agree to buy new ones, but again as it is only for decoration I can live with that! In all, thanks for the trip in the past and what a nice deco part in your Collection! Thumbs up for this!

The nuts need to be replaced too, the nyloc style nuts will not really hold on anymore, and you don't want to loose a wheel or axle if it can be avoided.

It is rare to see a complete skateboard in these conditions, they are usually split in half or are missing parts (it is very common for those who like this sport to split or remove parts for other skateboards). very good video! It would have been very cool if at the end a skate came out making a trick haha but hey you can't ask for everything in life.

you wouldnt be able to really use that well because the board wont really have any pop anymore. but it would be good for decorations tho. maybe you can cruise on it but i doubt it would survive a boardslide or an ollie especially after using water on it but still, good job on restoring it sir!

Kids if you can't afford a skateboard or bike, go digging around your local dump/landfill. It's amazing what people throw away. My first gold Stingray my dad found at the dump and he set it up with slick tires and fixed it all up for me. I didn't care that it was used, it was new to me! No matter how grimy, rusted, or gunky something is, it's still shiny underneath. You don't need a sandblaster, just get a sheet of sandpaper and apply elbow grease and get to it!

At best a wall decoration... If the bushings and bearings were replaced and the wheels only cleaned it could potentially be rideable as a cruiser board but the work done to "restore" the deck is going to mess with the weight and balance plus the old poorly stored wood isn't going to have the "pop" you get from a new deck Everything on a board is a wear item that eventually needs to be replaced especially if you are doing tricks

Technically he didn’t restore it. Restoring it means bringing it to former usefulness. He refurbished it cause you can’t skate with it anymore.
