While recording this, we couldn't help but be amazed by just how fast the barge itself both ports and departs, as well as travels through and transitions between servers. If these speeds remain constant as this feature is added to live servers, players could potentially use this for alternative means such as making their way back to a failed Oil Rig attempt, or as a means to get infront of Cargoship on a boogie board. As far as the transition time between servers goes, this is honestly beyond initial expectation. We all are familiar with RUST server load times, and if they could get that timing down to something like this all the time, it'd be a game changer indeed.

Watch that reentry timing though, as you can see above, you get caught in some sort of temporal lag wake and jumping right off the rip can cause unexpected fall damage.

As a game dev myself, i have watched rust grow and improve, i am glad to see facepunch finally have some visuals on it and i must say it is impressive. However that being said as a player and for the community of rust, this will either be one of the best updates they will have, or it will completely ruin and break the game

As a solo game dev myself I will CRUSH the game Rust with my own advanced title which will be no less than 10 times better than Rust or a more accurate prediction is around 50% better than rust "highly probable based on what I'm trying to build". No matter how many truly unique plugins I can write via C# rust is still so limited in what anyone can do so I could never build a "perfect" server even if I could build one of the best servers in terms of features no other server has there is still too many limitations on what one could actually accomplish even though I do have to give Rust an overall thumbs up on the awesomeness which could be accomplished via coding plugins from scratch or reverse engineering any plugin to be like 3 times better in terms of "performance enhancement" via cleaver coding. Rust used to be my favorite games and might still be I have no idea considering I don't play it nearly as much as I used to but either way it's literally easier to build that "perfect survival" game then to build a "far from perfect" server as there is just too much of Rust's core gaming functions on lock down from editing unless you are actually on the Face Punch dev team with unlimited access. Regardless after years of playing Rust and watching the game grow myself it has failed to reach my "highly aimed" hopes of what it truly had the potential to become. Even now most clanmates I used to run with over the years has left Rust indefinitely. It was great times running some large clans and building ridiculously large bases for the members however rust has...... aged and has ultimately become a very "Rusty" game... Even few graphics I've built so far is at least looking better than Rust so at the very least I have a "graphical" lead 😈... I'll destroy Rust, Fortnight, and Star Citizen.... in an epic Planet to Planet Survival unlike anything which has ever been released in the entire history of video games. An Extremely AMBITIOUS DEV I am 💯😁

@@BeamNGR-bb1it 1st I had to make sure you wasn't some big shot game reviewer lol... 😅... as a city wide art contest winner in my younger teen years I gain the habit of not showcasing my work until that "Okay it's READY" for showing feeling. I mean as an artist you just know when you're really ready for the world to see. That being said the game "Deep Space Battlefields" is already registered on Epic Games to be released at one point this year. Obviously I haven't made my store page visible to the public yet because I just really don't like opinions 1/2 way into work HOWEVER I tend to share tiny bits/pieces of work with super tiny groups of friends/non popular gaming buddies just to "test the waters". Either way the project is "GUARANTEED" to have several features both solo and combined never seen before in any single game ever released. I make sure of this by paying attention to virtually EVERYTHING. Luckily creating great looking graphics is easy..... only thing which has me by the balls is sound effects BUT I have some great ideas on how to come up with some nice sounding things via midi software and such. I mean sound is the only thing I lack allot of experience in but I'm somewhat on top of everything else as far as the numerous amount of skills which took some years to achieve go. Sorry for long reply as any can imagine my thought process is enormously huge which shouldn't be no surprise considering I've learn ALLOT of programs this past year moving from UNITY to UNREAL. The items, vehicles, weapons, and characters will be out of this world literally 😁

It's an update we're eager to see come out. There's a lot that can be done with this feature set and it's exciting to see how it'll unravel and what metas it will introduce.

I love the nexus server, but lame how my two friends and I got BPs wiped for raiding 3/4 islands. Make the islands larger smh. No mention of it in the update to promote player count
