Rust Repair & Custom Paint on the 1970 C10 Shop Truck Build! - Bagged Chevy Truck Ep. 3

We're tackling another huge project this week on our 1970 Chevy C10 shop truck build! We weren't the biggest fan of the primary red that was coating the body on this bagged C10 truck, so we're prepping the cab and the bed panels for some new paint! We're going to take this Chevy from a bright red to a two-tone classic green and white.
Of course it's not a simple process though! As soon as we started prepping this truck for its new color, we started uncovering some hidden rust. So not only are we painting this Chevy, we're also doing some rust repair!
Next step on this project? Finally getting our GSI front crossmember installed so we can drop our small block 350 back in along with the rest of our driveline, rear end, and get this shop truck rolling out the door!

My Grandpa bought a like 67-70 Chevy new C10 that was close to this color when I was a child. Would not be the color I was pick but to each his own. Great looking work guys, keep it up.

The only other green truck we built was that supercharged F100. It doesn't fit every build, but definitely makes this one feel a bit more classic!

One of my old bosses back in the mid 90's had a truck almost exactly the same as this. It was the green and white exactly like you have done but he had a real life patina job on the truck which he'd had since the late '70's. Had a big 454 with a four speed. Man that beast would haul like only a big block could

Hey guys! Great work as usual. Quick question about the welding. What’s your wire of choice with panels and work on that c10? I used a .35 MiG wire on a few items a while back and it was way too hot. Difficult to work with for sure. Just looking to get suggestions for the pros. Thanks!
