Rust repair on the other towing eye today plus finishing the bodywork on the damaged Mira bonnet

With the bonnet panel flexing and flapping about the problem was solved by resealing the strengthening panel underneath. Rusted panel on top of the towing eye was also rectified in this episode

I’ve really enjoyed binge watching this series. I found your channel when I searched for VW Beetle. I do love a K car and this one is really growing on me. Back in 2002, we hired a car for a week in Kefalonia and was a Daihatsu Cuore. Was first time driving a LHD but really did fall in love with it. Handling was fun and very nippy on the flat. Struggled up some hills with foot flat to the floor - happy times.

I'm glad you found the channel are you are enjoying the journey so far! It's funny as the purchase of this K car was due to lack of funds. I ended up buying it at a scrap yard as I felt sorry for it. I think I made the right decision as the thought of it being crushed or ripped apart is sad. Same story with the beetle. I didn't mean to buy it but it was abandoned at a classic car garage. It sounds like you had quite an adventure in your little hire car. Maybe your holiday wouldn't have been so much fun if you hired a different car? Thanks for watching
