Rust Revival: Barn Find Mercury Colony Park Station Wagon finds new life! Plus Volvo first start!

Mr. Goodpliers and friends start a 1972 Volvo station wagon, then move to the barn for the revival of a 1976 Mercury Colony Park station wagon!

That 76 mercury colony park wagon, will be a nice car, once it gets cleaned up. I have a 76 mercury, but it is not a colony park. On april 29th 1976, I bought a brand new mercury cougar, 5 weeks after I bought the car I got married. Almost 47 years later I still have the car and still have the wife.

I have exactly the same Colony Park and drove it from Ohio to Detroit and across to San Francisco. Didn’t miss a beat. I will put it on the channel one day.

I bought a 78 Ford Bro-ham wagon with a 460, best gas mileage was 13.5. It thru a rod while trying to blow the doors off of a Chevy suburban. Now it has a 460 from an 84 Ford pickup and it's been sitting since 2003

rear window may be activated and or locked out by the key on the tailgate, we had one where the key was used to lower, raise and lock out the window.

The mustang looks interesting. The wagon, does it have a disc brake setup on the back? It looks like it's right here but I haven't seen one of the station wagons in forever. Friend of mine was a scrapper number of years ago. He would pull the differentials axle the whole assembly with disc brakes on them out of those cars. People use them in their dirt track oval cars. They use them for building street rods why assortment of things. He had no problem selling them.

The only ones of this era I have seen with disc rear ends are the 1977-79 Lincoln Mark V

@@mr.goodpliers6988 seems like some of the monarchs had rear disc brakes. I honestly didn't pay much attention I've been so many years ago. Sometime I'd help him pull things if you needed it but usually torch & grinder and do himself. I do remember them being for a few in between. That's a neat old station wagon.
