Don’t forget that for the chain link fences, you can shoot through one layer. This allows you to do what is shown in the video, but also peak and shoot down onto the ground without getting shot through the double chain link fence.

@@GameLightz not exactly. it depends on the angle they are at. what actually happens is the bullets ricochet and changes angle when being shot through a fence. you can see your bullet impacts on the ground and it still will damage them, ive gotten kills using that before. the angle is consistent, and based on the angle you shoot the fence from so it is definitely something that is possible to learn.

Pro Tip I found out while experimenting: if you use a variation of the 4:45 technique to do make the peekdowns shown in GameLightz's "Advanced Shoodting Floor/Peekdown"-video, you can aim a little bit higher on the low walls in order to place the square foundation a little higher, allowing you to make small vertical gaps allowing you to shoot into your roof if you get topdown raided. The doorframe still attaches, so you can still get upkeep from your main base. This has made my personal base design alot stronger and has saved me against many raids!

The chaotic energy in this video is amazing, I love it! Also, the one issue with the Miami peek, is turrets can bypass that. Raid bases may include a Turret on the top for this reason

That much is true, but I suspect this is going to be so far out of the turret's range as to pose no serious practical issues. Definitely depends on the specific situations though.

Is The Grail V2 coming soon ?? I use only this base now as a duo, we NEVER get fully raided, she survived 5 offline and 3 online on console + some people are still noobs on console they cannot find the TC thank's a lot ! Even if on console we can't do the lockers bunkers and the perfect peakdown, The Grail is still so good, maybe add a mobility chutes, sometimes it take time to go back from bedroom into the battle Thank's for your work !

It can, if you specifically try to make it a bit higher (as I show in my previous video), but stability will be a big issue.

There us a trick to make a 360 degree view window forftication with roofs going towards it creating (from within the base) halfing the size of horizontal shooting slits, while also blocking window from people coming in on only 6 a triangle floorplan. Really good for flanking towers. I have a 7 triangle floor plan base thats based on this, that is really amazing and ive seen nobody doing the same as me. The 7th traingle is used as a jump up.

for neltus frame peeks, is there a way to do it on other types of corners? i find the current method not able to deal with a honeycombed 1x1 unless i remove the honeycomb.

Yes, there is, but it might work better for certain footprints than for others, and/or require a specific build order that you should work out for your build. I only present the basic techniques in these building trick videos, without going too much into specifics. You will be able to honeycomb, but only up to 2 levels under the shooting floor.

I'm solo only and I now use Gamerlightz tiny 2 triangle bunker as a starter base, takes about 3k wood and stone to throw up, then just build off it however you like. One tip, place all the first foundations after you have made the bunker to be sure everything fits. This way you have a bunker after all your doors right from the start of the build.

One type of, i guess they are also peaks, i have seen which seemed very effcient are used by aloneintokyo. Whereby it seems to me he has a pancacke layer as base of his shooting floor, and everytime a part is rocketed away, a new peak opens up and forms the new front most peak. Could you maybe show how he is building those? He also often switches up walls and then halfwall+window above, which at first seemed strange, till i saw him placing then floors on the halfwall level inbetween the windows, creating low peaks that are very tough to shoot up to.

I havent seen my peek. Its a square with 2 windows on both oposing sides with the metal vertical embrasure INWARD, then 2 double doors opening inwards. It creates a almost pixelgap at the front of the window, while sideways it creates a larger gap, to flank a nearby wall. Good for a corner tower. the doors overlapping the window peeks, create 3x as small window slits. They worked pretty well. A full metal kit lost to me at cqb with me prim kit. Only 1 out of the 10/20 shots hit me, while I had a easy way shooting back. I make my base like star fortifications, so there are no blind spots at the corners.

Crow is a friend, but out style is different as is our focus :) Crow posts almost only bases. I post mostly mechanics and ideas, and after that I post a base that incorporates those mechanics and ideas, and so on

With the chain link fence and gate, you can put a turrett behind it, they can fire through the 2 layers but people can't compound bow them out or HV them so makes a bolty turrett a lot more formidable

Embrasures on the outside lets you hop into the window frame (or crawl into it from a small box), makes you a smaller target, and keeps enemies from being able to hop inside of them from the outside. Outside embrasure team for life >.>

Fixing them is never an issue as far as I know. They'll just collapse if one of the supporting elements goes away.

I wish you could find a way to do freehand that works consistently on console. Could you maybe use a controller & find a way? When we try to take that little step back, we lose the perfect alignment because controllers are imprecise. I can never get it to work. A friend of mine got it once out of many tries. You’d be surprised how many console rust players watch your vids 🫶🏼
