RUST! Ship it to the junkyard! Framerail rust repair, Ep.1

I start tearing into the passenger side framerail by the strut tower of my Foxbody Mustang. This video entails removing a section of the framerail in preparation for installing the replacement kit from Scott Rod Fabrication.

spot weld cutters, yea I struggled with them, but you were on teh money when you said go slow. last time I used them, it worked fantastic on the 20+ welds I had to cut. Try again, and go slower....or just move to a mini belt sander ! those are more fun....but nothing beats a plasma cutter !

I have started to second guess doing the smooth inner fenders on my car...I may end up switching gears and going tubular. Another thought I head was to keep them and build an airbox for the air filter so it isn't in the hot engine bay.

What tubular front end are you using?

@@puzzlefox5.076 TMZ it has removable front bars so you can pull the engine straight out if you remove the bumper cover also removable rad support. It comes in a welded and non welded version.

Question, I have a 2002 GT Roush. Need to repair this area. I checked Scott website. Not sure but will this kit fit new edge and fox or fox only?

Man, I'm not sure. I would like to think it would, with a little fabrication. I'd hate to steer you wrong. I'd say to look on LMR for smooth factory style inner fender. I whish I would've done that with my car, after the fact.
