(Spoiler) It was likely a reference to Slime's Web Novel, where he comes back from "death" a second time. "Let alone coming back when you've seen the end (Seen it)" Rimuru literally saw the end (the world was completely destroyed) in the Web Novel, so I think it was a reference. When I say world, I mean universe.
