I've been watching and waiting for you to start working on this truck again for months, but as soon as I saw you bust out that yellow paint I knew watching this build was over for me

Its primer my man. High build primer. Im right there with you as far as yellow paint though. *Spoiler alert* -> the inside of the cab is already all black. So the goal on this build is to have the inside of the cab be sealed and insulated so that its enjoyable to drive. Not only that but with the massive amount of electronics that are going inside I want it weatherproof. The outside of the truck will retain that original 70+ year old patina.

Even if he was going to paint it yellow with purple dots, it"s no reason you bail on him. It is not the colour that I am here for. It is the knowledge that I get from watching his build.😧😧

My Dad had one like this one and I already told my oldest grandson that I want this truck looked after and pass it down in the Family. That makes out builds a bit more special I think. I want to build another one for my other son's family

from a time-saver perspective, i used a little 4 inch paint roller when i did my POR/Chassis paint. saved a lot of time.

Did you use a tinted primer then? I don't do any automotive work, but I find the process has some parallels to finishing some of my woodworking projects.

No, no tint. It comes out of the can just like that, nice and yellow....

What type of primer was that? Yellow seems like a pretty rare primer color

John Deere primer, its a high-build sandable buff. Pretty decent stuff

I want to do a custom dash from a 40 Ford graphed onto my 47. Think I need a pro though. Was that a one stage yellow? Is it gloss or matte? I like it.

its just a high build primer from valspar, final coatings are in the video thats about to drop..... I was looking at the classic instruments and dakota digital guage sets that fit in this OEM opening and I really liked the look.

You're just like me. Some might say way overkill. It's the interior, it will be covered up but WE know it's done right and are more comfortable wit the final product.
