Nothing wrong with going the extra mile. Tartans (Scotland), plaids, flannels…I’m so there. People that won’t take the time to “tartan” their furniture go the extra mile somewhere else in their life, guaranteed. Thanks for investing your time in this project. 🙂💕

I love it!! I agree that the love and time put into the details is what makes a piece. I take my time and really put everything I have in my pieces. To me that’s the difference between a furniture painter and a furniture artist. 💯

What makes you unique and different from others is you are a furniture Artist and not in it to just flip a piece quick. I appreciate that so much about you. Your process might take more time but the end result is beautiful and unique. You inspire me to think outside of the box, to bring out the beauty in each piece that I "practice" on. You challenge me to step outside of my comfort zone. Thank you!

PLAID is PERFECT❣ Great instructions too!!! Plaid furniture speaks to me. 🤗 Several years ago I painted our mailbox flag in a perfect mini tartan plaid - which I discovered is against Postal regulations after spending hours going plaid on a little metal flag, eh, whatever. Our plaid mailbox flag always made me smile, and our mail carriers always enjoyed seeing the plaid flag ... until a tree took a dive and crushed the mailbox. So sad. ☹

I appreciate that you are daring and try things that challenge you. You are real, genuine and have personality and ready to take on life. You ask for forgiveness instead of asking for permission and that is my kind of person. So i am going to be constructive and nice in my feedback.... please donate or recycle metal hardware. I think we all as a human race need to stop using the trash. You can use the trash if you want to because the fact that you buy used furniture to repurpose, redesign, repair and such is another huge reason i watch. My heart just breaks when I see how much gets put in the trash when, I being in the permaculture movement, try so hard to eliminate waste. I won't get mad or stop watching when my requests are not complied too and maybe we need more people doing that, not getting mad when others don't obey others way of living. I am only making a suggestion. I also appreciate that you made that segment funny being that you don't like that hardware and refuse to use it. Anyway, tartan and plaid is the best and I am so glad you did this episode.

I agree I try to save everything I can, I am kidding about throwing stuff away I actually take the metal stuff I don’t use and set it out on the curb, there is a truck that comes around and collects all the metal :) I am very conscious as well and we recycle everything and I always take my food waste to the neighbors composted:) I love the earth just as much as you ❤️❤️❤️❤️ don’t worry I gave the hardware to the metal truck man :)

Late to the table on this video, sorry. I LOVE the dresser! I especially love tartan plaid and am wearing a plaid shirt as I write this! Lol. I went to Parochial school from K - 8th grade. It was the mid to late 60's ( yes I am THAT old) I had to wear plaid pleated skirts ( Edie is short for Edith) with a big pin (like an over sized safety pin) on the side, a blouse in white with a Peter pan collar, a cardigan if it was cold, knee socks and penny loafers. It was our uniform. I think it's where I fell in love with plaid.

Wow, you have so much more patience than I do, but I love the finish product! Very creative, as usual.

Omg this is absolutely fantastic, yes a lot of work but totally worth it. I love your personality and this piece looks exceptional with those handles too. Stunning and you are very clever.

I’m a fan of tartan but, as much as I like this, I’m not sure I have the patience for this. I might try the inside back of a hutch that I have. It’s painted a blended black and bunker hill blue and I have always thought it needed something else. The back comes off (I replaced it when I painted it due to some water damage and it was only pressboard) so I can lay it flat for taping and painting. If my patience gives out I’ll paint, stencil, or add wall paper to the back. You are such an inspiration. You make everything you do sound so interesting and do-able that I always want to give it a try. Thanks for all of your wonderful ideas.
