Stumbled on Shape and Destroy during Covid and became obsessed with Ruston Kelly. He has a way of expressing for me what I have a hard time expressing myself. Love the angel imagery on this album and the struggle between "Loraine" and "Maria." This set is particularly beautiful because his dad is right there as he sings "I've just been lost in the dark, went way too far this time." Those that love us will always come and find us where we are. We owe our own "TK's" all the love and gratitude in the world.

I discovered these two albums during a really dark time in my life. I sat in the bottom of the shower crying and listening to it over and over again. It’s been such a moving and important record for me. Thank you.

Tradwife Life I had a very similar experience. Except I’m still in the midst. His vulnerability and willingness to own his mistakes in such a public way is not only (I assume) super therapeutic and cathartic for him, but also for his listeners. For me, his music gives me courage to own my own mistakes and to not hide from the judgement and criticism of peers and colleagues who’s opinions should not hold weight anyway. Our struggles, missteps and failures do not define us, but they do make us into the people we are now and who we are to become. As much as we may not like to suffer and to fall down, it is exactly these struggles that are directly responsible to inspiring growth and change. Without the bad, without the painful, we would be unable to appreciate the joy and beauty that is birthed from the darkness. If life never fell apart, we would have no motivation or reason to ever change anything and grow as individuals. In this way, I can change the way I see my suffering. Instead of a wall, it can be transformed into a doorway. That leads to a new and better version of myself. Through the doorway or your darkness lies growth and change. Embrace this perspective and watch as your struggles and pain start to lose their power over you. Pain and darkness cannot remain a significant influence once you take away its power to impact the way you feel about and love yourself. In a way, it is through pain and suffering that we learn to accept and love ourselves fully. Faults, mistakes and all. And once we fully embrace, and accept ourselves, we no longer need the outside world to tell us how we should feel about ourselves. You realize that the only one that has the power to effect your experience of life and the way you feel about yourself, is you. Everything else is just noise.

Dude.. how and why is this still under 10k views? It's like knowing where gold is and not telling anyone. I selfishly enjoy it, but I am expecting millions of views any day.

This guy is amazing... I first heard "Mercury" while driving out of State and the station did not give the name of the song or artist. It was when "Dying Star" was first released. I think I spent 2 hours on line trying to zero in on who recorded this fantastic song. Just one great song after another...... So much talent...
