One of our students just cover this song in our contemporary music class performance tonight, I like this so much I had to listen to the original. The kid did a great job but I wanted to listen to the original. Really really wonderful !! and I’ll have to listen to more of Ruston’s music.

I love Ruston. I have spent a lot of time with his most recent album, The Weakness. It came out about the same time that I was getting divorced. Today, I went back to some of his older work. I hadn't listened to this song in quite a while. This is a great performance.

This song crosses many genres but is unique in itself as well, one of my favorite songs I’ve ever heard!

Perfect example of true talent! I've been lucky enough to have seen him live. Once in Asheville, NC. & once in Nashville, TN. Not that he isn't good in his own rite, but in Asheville Kasey Musgrave was with him. THAT show was unbelievable. If you've never seen him live, I suggest you do. Personal Favorite Song(s) Mercury Jericho Faceplate Son of a highway daughter

I love Kacey, and I'm glad she points to this man as her inspiration. You can hear it clearly. I'll be looking for more from Ruston.

we saw him last fall in Seattle at the Tractor Tavern in Ballard, one of the best live shows we have been to. He is a genius singer. Needs a lot more exposure.....the masses must discover him...

Just discovering him now after seeing a Sarah Jarosz cover! Also, man do I miss the Tractor Tavern.. last act I caught there was Marty Wilson Piper and must have been like 2007.

@PaperbackDreamsMusic3 жыл бұрын
Two years late, but it's in standard with a capo on 3. The chords used are basically variations of Dsus, Cadd9, G, F, Am7 (the shape carries down the neck), and also an Em in the chorus.

Ur little brain is comparing it with all the the little segments of this type of music that uve heard before but never really appreciated n that's why u can't see the uniqueness of this song. U have no depth to urself n no love for the craft.

Wow! Why so angry? Do you make an ad hominem attack on everyone who doesn't share your opinion? I guess it's symptomatic of the times.
