My uncle owned a 92 Sonoma and a 85 S15. I had a 90 S15 Jimmy. These are my favorite body style of s10s.

My first vehicle was a 1982 S10 sport 2.8.. still got it but has sat for while and with a little bit of help it'll start up again. These trucks are my favorite

Nice truck! I inherited my granddad’s 92 s10 farm truck... hasn’t been on the road in 12 years! Runs and drives, but needs electrical work. It will make a great little run around town truck, if I can get it fixed

All I gotta say is those 2.8 are some of the most reliable engines I've seen out there I got a 85 Chevy blazer s10 and that motors never let me down

I picked up a 92 s10 ext cab 4.3 4x4 summer 2019. Got it running great that December, its my daily work truck and dump runner. I love those square body’s. I was thinking of a little flat bed for it with wood side walls- removable. Sending respect from WA.

I love these pick up trucks! It was our first vehicle while living in the U.S.A. It was a white 1986 S10. The not so good thing about it was that it was an automatic, but I loved it anyways 'cause it was a Chevy! Anyways... new sub here. I'm gonna watch this series first and then more of your content. Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina!

Back in the later half of the 1990s about 97-98 my buddy had an old rusted out Nova that was missing most of the floor pans with a good Chevy 350 and good automatic transmission his dad had a square body S10 look just like this with a blown 6 cylinder motor but it was immaculate as far as the body was concerned no rust on an extremely limited budget me and him installed the Chevy 350 on some homemade motor mounts I don't even think anything was available at the time for engine swap like this we had to modify the far wall a bit to clear the distributor yes we use the original rear end originally we were concerned about it twisting it apart but it's so light in the back end it never hooks up to the ground LOL later we did the old high school lowering trick put some rims on it painted it black tented out the windows it was more of a toy than a daily driver but my friend Jay pretty much daily drove it most everything on it was jerry-rigged it was one of those little hot rod projects that look good from ten feet away and it made a lot of noise he drove it for a couple of years tinkering with it all the time and sold to some kid for 3800 bucks in the year 2000 or 2001 it was one of those kind of vehicles that technically isn't legal but if you know somebody that works at a inspection shop that will get you your safety inspection you can get it plated .......lol

I always wanted to do that to an s10! Sounds like fun!
@josephatnip23984 жыл бұрын
@@NOT_FOR_HIRE it was pretty fun couldn't really drive it in the rain I mean you could but you were taking your life in your own hands LOL it wasn't the stick shift it was just an automatic a manual transmission probably would have been better you could take off in second but like I said it was just a toy the truck originally was a stick shift so the hole in the floorboard he installed a chevette automatic floor shifter selector and don't some homemade linkage and instead of having the bench seat it had the chevette bucket seats in it they actually worked out pretty good and he had a couple of eight inch subs behind the seats and a couple of 6x9 right between the seats but you had to put all that in there just to hear the stereo when the engine was running it was just running straight pipes dumped out the side no glass packs no flowmasters no exhaust just straight pipes dumped on both sides right in front of the back tires the original swap itself to get it to run and drive took a weekend originally using a coat hanger to put the car in gear running up through the floorboard another six months of figuring things out and tinkering with stuff to get it all buttoned up to the point where it was usable for anybody without explanation LOL
