Nice job, I bought a Nissan Vanette off a mate years ago, only needs a patch on the drivers floor for the MOT he said. I spent 6 weeks under that thing welding, just when you think your done screwdriver finds another hole. Made a decent van in the end and made good money out of it when I sold it, couldn't keep it cost too much in welding wire and gas, I swear the bloody thing rotted faster than you could weld it up. 😀😀😀

a strip of metal tacked behing that to edge before you started to weld the patch in would have saved you a lot of grief , works as a backing strip ,,, in NI we have to seam weld all repairs and leave bare for inspection ,,, the other thing i would suggest , no no no cavity way ,, go google ACF50,, does the same job , only better , seriously better and wont burn , if its good enough for helicopters , its good enough for cars ,,, it even smells nice .just needs a squirt again every couple of years ... I do lots of this sor of work , usually on Range Rovers l322 at the moment , same jack point only a lot rougher to fix on rears ,,, petrol ones its tank out , drop rear subframe , full exhaust , side steps inner arch liners and sill covers etc etc etc , its brutal work , and no decent repair panel , complex compound curves and double skin , and make the parts your self ,,,,,,,,, still , it paid for my audi.
@StupidBlokeStupidVideos3 жыл бұрын
MOT rules are same here, but if it’s originally spot welded like where the sill joins the floor then you can spot it, other than that it has to be welded all the way round. We sell ac50 at work, good stuff.
