That damn neck looks like a whole tree that was uprooted and they cut the roots off the bottom of the trunk, did the cut through and there you have it. Just a massive size guitar

With Rusty's 8-string, with all the tuning pegs in the same row, I'm suprised he doesn't have a problem with sympathetic vibrations on the longer string segments between the nut and the pegs.

With all 8 tuning pegs in a row, how does he deal with sympathetic vibrations from the longer string segments between the nut and pegs? This is why some guitarists would prefer a 4 plus 4 arrangement on the headstock, but they're all in line in this case.

i have the USA model...it's a bolt-on neck. i also have an Ibanez J custom, which i can honestly say is better made than the USA made guitar.

because it costs less and the import models of guitars are usually less expensive, so they have to eliminate something to make it costs less. I'm sure his American version will have a neck thru design and that will cost more, but being made here will make it cost more anyway. that's how Jackson does it. When it's made in America you don't have to travel to indonesia to see how well the production is going. That's why Eddie Van Halen and John Petrucci have american models so they're right here.

And they can go right into any American guitar store and buy one if theirs breaks or has a problem. They send a roadie to the nearest guitar store. That's what Eddie said. Ibanez is purely Japanese except when they made on model in Pennsylvania. Ltd ESPs are imports from another country, and their best models are made in Japan too. I'd rather have an American guitar than one made from Thailand.

I think the American made Ibanez model was called the J Craft. I don't think they make it anymore. It was purely a marketing gesture, so they could say " Hey, we make some American made guitars." But then they sell thousands of Japanese or Indonesian models and make a few hundred J Crafts. No Thanks. Rock and Roll is an American made music, so I'll stick with an American made guitar, not one made in India or China. Bye Vai. Basswood guitars are very cheap to make. It's a soft wood.
