I am pretty sick of the technique vs expression argument regarding guitar players. I have nothing but respect for Rusty. He does what he loves, and thats what its all about.

I love the pedal point lines he has in this song; really fun to play. Great song and phenominal guitar player.

Anyone who says that shredders have no soul in their playing obviously can't hear anything because i can hear all the melodies and all the soul going through my hears at 100 mph.

All hail Rusty!!! I'd like to know why you use bolt-on guitars as well, as well as why you prefer an 85-7 in the bridge...it's very mysterious. I. Love. This. Song. :D

hi Rusty im a huge from Slovakia and i have 2 questions for you... 1: Why do you use only bolt on guitars? 2: Why are the solos from the song dominion different recorded since 2003? I think The 2003 version was much better XD And btw i think it would be great to see you playing Dark Matter on youtube... its unplayable

And btw i think it would be great to see you playing Dark Matter of War of Angels on a video because Dark Matter is incridible XD... cheers

I find the 85 to be superior to the 81 in the bridge personally. Though who knows why he likes the bolt ones. Maybe so its easier to fix on the road? But that makes little sense as he is endorsed by Dean, so he should get free axes. And hes not a one to smash em either.

Really dig this song ... and it really reminds me of Bark at Moon but that's not a bad thing but I can see the influence.

Rusty, how are you not much, much more well known than you are, dude? I mean, you do realize that even guys like Vai, Petrucci, and Malmsteen, who are well known and loaded with cash can't touch your speed or how cleanly you can play at those speeds, and especially not your legato, right? It should literally be a crime. If they ever bring G3 back and you're not invited along, I'm calling bullshit.
@Despond4 жыл бұрын
Music needs consistent melodic songs to be written. You could be twice the speed of Rusty but it means nothing if you don't create something people can connect with. Look @ the catalog of albums and iconic songs those artists you try play as "worse" have written. Yngwie was also a pioneer and doing these techniques 30+ years ago.
