Thank you Letterkenny for reminding about this song... brings back memories of listening to CFNY 102.1 in the 90's.

Really underrated band. I think Ken MacNeil ranks up there with the best grunge vocalists.

Gotta love this 90s gem. It encapsulates our hopelessness against the machine.

Rusty was awesome! I seen them play in Brampton at a small bar on Dean Street in the mid 90s! It was great

I had their debut album Fluke, it was a great record, so raw and catchy. My favorite song was Ceiling.

I always assumed this song implied heroin use. Was I wrong? Or was that implied for style of the times? Am I way off?
@wendighoul4 жыл бұрын
AFAIK it's just about sleeping, specifically that bit where you have already sort of woken up, but you don't get out of bed right away and snooze for like 10 more minutes, because that is the best sleep of all.
@bcmcinnis4 жыл бұрын
wendighoul Yeah that totally makes sense. The line “I chase the dragon” I thought that was the announcing of the subject. Also the metaphor of your H high being “dead” was started by Lou Reed and popular again in the 90s. I often wonder if 90s herion Chic welcomed the confusion.

it's funny, the writter totally ripped off Nirvana - Pennyroyal Tea - which came out 1 years before this song did. Anyone who knows anything about music will clearly hear the obvious similarities in the chord progression during the chorus.
