Really enjoy watching the Model A Ford coupe project. Been watching your segments here every chance I get. Learning a lot of techniques from this for my 32 Ford coupe project. Myron.

When in doubt, go one gauge thicker. You are correct. Nice work.

The funny thing is, my Mother gave me a Keurig to go in the shop, and it's still in the box haha. I'm gonna have to set it up soon.

Braces look good and that english wheel looks like a good score! It looks like a sturdier than some of the new ones that are on the market.
@phillipshotrodgarage2 жыл бұрын
A lot of people buy the harbor freight one, and modify it for added strength and rigidity. I was looking at doing that myself, until this one popped up. I got this one for less money than a harbor freight one, and it is a much better piece.
@1fknhpycmpr3552 жыл бұрын
@@phillipshotrodgarage Yeah, i know the harbor freight blues. I have their beadroller and i sure had to beef it up, before it was an useful tool. If i found any decent used tools, i rather buy them at these days.
@phillipshotrodgarage2 жыл бұрын
You are right. If you buy a cheap tool, and create something good out of it, and it works well for your purpose, I don't see a problem with it. But, finding a higher quality used one that you don't have to work on is definitely the best option to save money. Unless a used one pops up, I have a Eastwood bead roller still in the box that I will be bracing up and building a stand for soon. I haven't found any better options without spending big money.

The English wheel is a great score ! Honestly ,I would ditch the wheels and bolt it down , your shop is obviously roomy enough unlike many 1-2 car garages most guys have. Great job on the support braces,

Definitely glad to have it. I'm also keeping my eyes open for the right deal on a metal brake, shear, small lathe, band saw, etc.. I need more tools!

NOW that’s an English Wheel... Stout and heavy duty... Really like that it has a large throat,, Will give you plenty of room when you’re working on large pieces.... Fantastic purchase, Phillip.... New extensions on the braces turned out great, look factory... Keep up the good work my friend... Looking forward to seeing your next one, man....

Nice score on the English Wheel. I really like the way you form a plan before diving in on a repair and your comments about afterv market parts is right on, too. You're a guy I could work with !
@phillipshotrodgarage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind remarks Bob. Things won’t work out without a good plan. As far as the aftermarket parts, they could do so much better if they would, but unfortunately, it’s all about the $$$. The bottom line causes quality to suffer. That’s for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it.
