1. As that last drain is right by a pylon, it may be worth contacting National Grid as well. If there's a possibility of the water creating a sink hole under the pylon, they might help out.

Don't use sandpaper on them rams with rust spots use a bit of tinfoil in a ball and some wd40 wipe off with a rag👍👍👍

The weather here has been fantastic for the last couple of days and one to go before we have a week of rain according to the forecast hence 95% today. 1x out for a family walk in york vale yesterday, spotted a few still putting spring crops in and came across some very frisky cattle with there young and bull that had just been let out for first time this year! They were really excited to be out so went round and ended up negotiating a really big ditch! Trespassing but not worth the risk!

I watch most days Anne my wife watches odd clips. We live South Cheshire and have noticed how the crops are suffering this year. Glad to see you are doing some maintenance, being a former Land Drainage Contractor I think in the future farmers will have to do a bit more maintenance of their ditches etc.

Do you have any access to ground water via wells? It would be interesting in light of surface flooding and your recent breaking up the surface if the ground water has improved in level or if it has flushed off as surface water. Ground water in your area will be affected by incursion from above and sea level rise as you appear to be close to coast and river.

Great video Olly. 80% today sun was shining and managed a bit of downtime with colleagues today on some clays in the yard. Usually just watching on my own. I’d say the rust spots on your roll rams is possibly bird droppings which have eaten the chrome plating hence it bubbling and pitting.

1, Always used to put the grain and fertilizer down the spout when we had contractors to drill it.. The only down side was when they finished the field and some was left they would go round the headlands again and that would always go down! (two doses of fert)

Just a thought of something to add to the videos, it'd be interesting for the viewers to see a visual map of the farm and potentially have on it fields marked with what crops are growing where for the season. Maybe something Ian can work his magic on? Think it would help viewers get apprecition of the ground you guys can cover with drilling etc.

1, Good vid again Olly . We got the last of our spring crops in today , been going for the last fortnight I've been on JD 8400 / 6 mtr Lemken power harrow & 6 mtr Dalbo . Two drills JD 8400 on Vardy 6 mtr , JD 6250 on 750A . Two 4 mtr power harrows also
