This remix has a peaceful lighter tone compared to the original, it makes me think of when the rain stops during gameplay and all of the flickies are saved. Maybe from Sonic's perspective we would look like a rainbow or the sun...

The Saturn versions were so diferent to me, specially Volcano Valley that look like something from an Indiana Jones movie

I know what you mean, they changed alot of the stage designs for the saturn release. Some I prefere on saturn, and some I like more on mega-drive. I still love all of the mega-drive songs from sonic 3d, whereas I only like a few from the saturn release.
