I'm a little jealous...I've been trying to buy one off a guy at the flea market for my wife's garden. The guy just won't come off his price. Came out fantastic!

That looks great. Nice and difficult restoration. I like the result. I would like to have a springler like this one on my garden through summer days (cause I hate plastics). One thing... I would highlight those signs on the body... And your bench grinder sounds like from another solar system (on my headphones) 🙂👍

Thanks, definitely outlast any plastic rubbish.. I did think about highlighting the letters, maybe on the next project👍👍

Very nice! Very labor intensive restoration but it turned out great. I wondered how you would make the repair - good old JB Weld to the rescue. Regards, Bill.

Thanks for watching, gutted when it broke. If I had a lathe could have drilled it out, made a whole new piece etc.. Certainly an item for the future 👍👍

Nice job, I did one on my channel a while ago, it fought me all the way due to corrosion. 👍🏻

Thanks for watching, I did watch your videos a few times for tips. For the life of me, I couldn't undo the central shaft. But it spun freely, but did make painting tricky👍👍

@@CrustyRestorations they're interesting things. Mine takes pride of place in the shed, buried under far too many projects! 😁

Awesome job! I’m just about to start work on a similar sprinkler for my channel and KZbin recommended your video - how does it know?!😂 I’ve got my eye on the same powder coating system that you use - is it something you would recommend, particularly for someone with no previous experience? Many thanks.

@DistinctlyAverageRepairs hi, i was very dubious about that powder coating system. But after a phone call to the suppliers and a rest assured return if not happy, I made the leap. It's a nice bit of kit, it's taken a few goes to get the air pressure right, but coating is lots of fun. Compared to priming, painting, lacquering and waiting days between each.drop me a dm on tik tok, I'll pass her details in. Good luck with it.👍👍

@@CrustyRestorations Many thanks for your reply. I have actually had some contact with the company and have been impressed with what I’ve seen/heard but it’s nice to get a view from someone who is actually using it. As you say, being able to do all the painting in one go is a major benefit. I do enjoy spraying/air brushing but it can be such a time-consuming faff! 😂

@DistinctlyAverageRepairs ah cool, yeah it's a game changer. Picked up a £10 oven off Ebay, bit of hassle with hanging things in small oven, but all worth it. Looking forward to seeing that sprinkler👍

@@CrustyRestorations I did suggest to my partner just using the oven in the kitchen but apparently that won’t be happening! Sprinkler is coming on nicely - spent the afternoon removing paint and polishing brass so just filling/painting to go. 👍
