I have so much admiration for these guys. I'm taking every word very seriously. THANK U GUYS !! Rusty is right also about the singing. I try NOT to play in every song, don't want to bore everyone in the room. and I DO concentrate on my singing way more lately.

Rusty has the most soulful and sweetest voices. Actually what they just said is right on the money and most harp players if they are honest to themselves try to do, be and advocate all those things!

Be a good and positive bandleader. Call the keys, call the tempos, make it easy for the band. Encouraging the musicians and being positive will get the best music out of your band.

Tone is 50% player, 30% venue, and 20% equipment. If someone has poor tone when playing acoustically, they will have poor tone when amplified… just louder.

Too many harp players don't play enough rhythm. If they are not soloing of singing they just stand there looking like an idiot. Play a bass-line while the guitar player is laying down a solo. Don't just wait to be the center of attention... be a part of the band.
