That crack in the neck at the body needed more than Titebond glue mixed with some saw dust and a little putty. You should have fashioned and then set two small bowtie dowels across that crack.

@@mollirodhaet7224 I don’t know about all the other guitar repair channels. There are a couple of them that are legitimate. I’ve seen Gabriel Retï do some amazing work but when it comes to this channel, I unsubscribed right after I saw this rebuild/repair. And without bowtie dowels, that neck will never hold; not even with hide glue.

@stephenyoud61255 ай бұрын
Those Hohner Profoessional guitars are great well made guitars. I had two L59's, one with a Bigsby. But the tune-o-matic bridges are not so good. I put a Schaller roller bridge on the Bigsby L59. After sanding the fretboard you should save the rosewood dust in case you need to repair any split outs from ripping out the old frets, and after re-fretting you need to level the frets with a sanding beam and then re-crown them and then polish, checking for fret buzz while adjusting action and doing the bridge intonation, otherwise it wont play well or in tune. And on the second guitar the Epiphone, btw - the Epi and Strat chapter names are switched in the video. Paint stripper won't work on a two pack lacquer as its crosslinked chemical structure (aka "cured") is resistant to solvent action, and i would have removed the bridge and tailpiece inserts so it could be sanded completely. Good idea to leave natural, but a cherry lacquer would have also worked well. in theory, the copper foil shouldn't be needed with Humbucking pickups but still not a bad thing to do also into the control cavities, but the overlaps should be soldered to ensure ground continuity and connect the foil to the ground circuit otherwise it won't do anything. great job though otherwise as it seems to play well. The strat... another derelict rescued and restored. The electrics on those cheap copies are usually junk so its a good idea to replace the Pots and switch with decent ones like CTS Pots and an Oak-Grigsby switch, replace the standard cast zinc bridge with one with a steel sustain block and fit vintage bent steel saddles instead of those cast zinc ones, and better tuners.. good you had a Fender neck though. Paint job needed clear coat and the orange peel rubbing out of it and repolishing. but otherwise good work restoring those

Amazing just how you got die-cast tuner parts to rust, and those frets didnt need to come out, theres nothing wrong with them, faker. why did you take all the gold plate off the pick up covers? gold plate dont rust fella. and what you did to that poor epi, pouring paint stripper on the thing to make it look old and abused,"abused by you really" thats a poly finish mate and poly doesnt do that by itself or from age.
