You're thinking of vacuum tubes, not test tubes. The latter are used in science labs. As for luminor's comment, one is American, the other is everybody else's.
@sharonlaster27673 ай бұрын
@@RetroJack Oh! Gosh! You are correct! I meant vacuum tubes. I remember they would get very hot and that is why there were holes in the back for ventilation. The grocery stores had tester stations to see if the tubes were burnt out. If one tube went, the tv was dead. LOL

why didn't you change all the capacitors, I didn't see that you changed the one scale bulb either. and when you use cleaning agent on the radio tubes, the brand and number disappear on them, so partly a sloppy job, it's a shame when the rest was a good restoration job

Did you have to replace the paper capacitors in any of these radios? I know they degrade with time. I have a 1960 Grundig console (radio, turntable and reel-to-reel) that I want to restore. My father-in-law purchased it in France, while in the Air Force.
@kaiserwilhelmi.45983 ай бұрын
You have to replace them on your Tube radio, he doesn't have, what comes with the risk that your Radio won't play anymore

Is this old TV something of a blue 💙 print?. BBC broadcasting service as in the late sixties?. Phillip and Elizebeth, plus Mr Edward . Somethings seems left abandoned is all being pick up and refurbished, rebuilt . How long has this been going on?. Who are the rightful ownership. I want it all and I want it now.

Alles sehr seltsam.
