Abandoned workers accommodation buildings, lots of artifacts left behind as a testament to the hardship that Aussie cattlemen endured without modern day comforts.

Thanks for taking me out on the tour through the outback. Very interesting. Living with the bare minimum. Interesting machines in that first building, probably still repairable too.

Glad you liked the trip, if you were out this way you would be most welcome to come along and have a good look at these places and even help recover an old engine or two. Cheers, Ian.

No place in the world like central Australia. Truly unique.

Thanks Ian, very good. Some interesting stuff at that first place, all sorts of bits of engine as well as what looks like a couple of horizontal twins, fairly modern though. And that farm machinery! Must have been a hard life working the outback...

They were a tough mob out there, long distances, droughts and extreme heat in the days before electricity and air conditioning. Its interesting to be able to visit these places and get a glimpse of the life these people endured. All the best Alan for the new year!

Love the old hay cutter and hay rake at the end. We have one of those old hay rakes, there is a video of one working on youtube somewhere.

Great looking items and would probally still work with a little maintenance as the local rainfall is very low thus no major rust issues.

Wow, that first place was some kind of treasure-trove! Lots of nice old iron of all sorts! Hey, was that a VW Beetle shell at the second place? It was! Looked pretty stripped though.

That wasp was nest building with some very nice fresh mud. Did you find the water?

Is this at your own property or just out in the middle of nowhere?
@rustymotor9 жыл бұрын
The property is owned by a neighbouring station and is no longer staffed. The buildings are now left to decay back into the bush.
