Hello mate nice video. I like digging at goring there is a bit less sand. But on the other hand there are loads of live bullets.

When I was still living in England, I used to dig sea fishing bait at Goring. We used garden forks as it's so rocky. Now I have emigrated to the United states, I fish the Pacific ocean in Oregon and also M D the beaches and State parks. A fork still works well on the sand/gravel/rocky beaches here too. Good hunt, good video. I cannot go onto the beaches at the moment to hunt or fish as we're having large ocean swells of 20+ ft that are pushing way up the beaches and dragging the unwary and down right stupid people out into the ocean. Should be good though when it quiten's down as many tons of beach are disappearing every tide.

Tony Hobbs Thanks for watching Tony. Good to hear you used to visit Goring. I never thought about using a fork but it makes sense. Thanks for the tip. Good luck getting out after the swells. Jason

Nice finds . I am tempted to do Goring beach but its a way to go . I need a whole day for it . As for the rings they are both Silver , they are too high in numbers to be Gold . Though i did have a big Gold of 39 g 9 k 5 years ago that i still have which was 12 40 on the ET which would on the Nox put it at mid twenties but thats a lot bigger than the ones you found on this video. Your rings here would be high 12 40's on the ET , usually 45 to 47. This year i have found 27 with the Nox out of my 43 Silver rings i have had this year . Including 1 return. Earlier in the year on Littlehampton beach on the East side of the river next to the entrance just below where the bank/ groin drops to sand level and looks Irony and black sand stone mix i found a Gold and Silver ring , it was a Silver band with a Gold top mount with a big Amber stone in it . That and 2 other Gold rings i found with the Nox out of 7 this year . Including 1 return also. I have to say though that Littlehampton is very quiet now , a mate said that it could be the parking charges ? but i think its cashless society too . Getting harder these days !

Richard Newcombe Littlehampton is one of my favourites. Good memories from the 80's. Goring is ok if you have a strong back or a bulldozer to dig. Lol.

Rusty, I like your drive and ambition. I agree that a spade works better in the rocks, but the one you’re using has no offset bend whatsoever and appears to be stronger but you use more energy and have to bend over more to pry each scoop. I wish there was a better tool than a garden spade, maybe it’s time to build one...
@RustyRecovery6 жыл бұрын
Roger S I use spades for land detecting digs. Usually short stem ones but they don't make for great video footage. I have, and have tried many types including offset ones. I personally prefer the straight shaft. Cheers.
