This video highlights the work of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension strawberry project titled "Improved Variety Selection and Sustainability of Strawberries for the Eastern United States." Researchers from Rutgers visit with local farmers about their experience with new strawberry cultivars from the Rutgers breeding program and discuss the impact of the breeding program on New Jersey farmers.
This strawberry project is part of the National Strawberry Sustainability Initiative (NSSI), a grants program funded by the Walmart Foundation and administered by the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture Center for Agricultural and Rural Sustainability.
