From a UM fan, I’ve got a lot of respect for Schiano and how he’s building and coaching the Rutgers program.

Agreed! Class act. Great coach. They’ll be good eventually. Go blue!

It's good that you like him. When Harbaugh leaves at the end of this season, Schiano will be getting an interview.

I will say this. He's turned this Rutgers team from a laughingstock into a respectable product. Much more than I can say about the team from East Lansing.

Edwards is not himself yet this year. Who knows what’s going on but he will come into his own
@Sportsfanfromnowhere Жыл бұрын
Agreed, he seems fine catching the ball but even after the catch he seems almost lazy with it. He doesn’t seem to be running hard or too speed. Corum has certainly turned the corner and Mullings looked better than Edward’s. JJ still seems shook from the last game, was off on some throws again and questionable throws.
@stevepearson4522 Жыл бұрын
@@Sportsfanfromnowhere I think JJ needed to be more careful and he’s probably trying to be, which may be what you noticed. Yes that has some negative effects temporarily (hopefully) but I believe it was needed. He threw some dimes in the first two games that were phenomenal and surprising they weren’t at least deflected. In my mind I was thinking that he wouldn’t get away with that against teams with more talented DBs, most of which the B1G has. I was very happy in light of this to see he had a very good game against a strong defensive team. It bodes well for him in my opinion.

Was at the game, looks like he isn't reading the right gaps and goes down instantly after first contact...He also wiffed on a few blocks..I hope he figures it out
@dustinschalk8825 Жыл бұрын
Ya idk what’s up with Don,He goes down easy, doesn’t seem quite as fast, and really can’t read the lanes or blocks . I only can assume that he’s somehow just gotten himself into a crazy mental funk . He talked so much and set crazy expectations , and he’s gotten really down on himself after he didn’t light the world on fire and he just need to relax and let it come . But they should definitely play him more at receiver he’s still a weapon Btw ..has don broken a single tackle this year lol( not trying to be negative or sarcastic but I was thinking about that and can’t think of any?
@mattdrewdrums Жыл бұрын
@dustinschalk8825 I swear to God, the coaches don't know what they're doing with the strength and conditioning. They allowed both RBs to bulk up, and it has made BOTH of them more sluggish. The point of strength and conditioning is to help players gain muscle while not compromising their athletic abilities. Well, both Corum and Edwards looked faster (and somehow stronger) last season. I was ready to see Donovan puts some muscle on and, in combination with his speed, really bulldoze defenders this year.
