I was very friendly with both of Ruth’s parents in the 70s. Great people. She’s a credit to them. RIP, Frank.

The interviewer was fishing for drama and controversy, and Ruth did not fall for any of it

Ruth is amazing! Can’t wait to read her book. But this Lorraine woman, whoever she is, is one of the worst interviewers I’ve seen. Telling Ruth’s story instead of letting Ruth tell it 🙄

The press always wants to demonise modelling. It's no worse than any other job.

She's really pushing her 'modelling' career, supermodel? Never heard of her until she became a KZbinr.
@katygreenwich27 күн бұрын
Her book is called ‘how NOT to be a supermodel’ hardly blowing her own trumpet is it

She’s VERY flippant about eating disorders/the risk of models developing an eating disorder. She comes across as uncaring.

Yeah, models are so hard done by. Much worse than say, working in a supermarket for £8 p/h 🙄
@electrictwilight4 ай бұрын
Yeah, because you're just as likely to be sexually abused/exploited working in a shop when working in a shop.

How did Ruth manage to secure this interview? There are new books - and new authors - being released all the time… but they don’t get high-profile publicity like this. Who is pulling strings for Ruth?
@electrictwilight4 ай бұрын
She's got a very large social media following and influencer friends. That's a dumb question.

Looks nothing like a model, very odd...

Yes, she does. Tall, slender, even features that photograph well

Good job you're not a model scout then, eh?

I religiously bought fashion magazines (British Vogue, Vogue France, American Vogue, Elle, Harpers Bazaar etc) in the 90s & 00s. I’ve never heard of her! I guess she was a jobbing model & did not get many jobs. Bottom feeder vibes.
@aiai-j7i4 ай бұрын
Well at least you're not bitter, lol!!
@farmgal7759 минут бұрын
I bought all those magazines around the same time, and I'd heard of her. A 'bottom feeder' former model would never land a book deal if they hadn't already made their name as a model. She's obviously triggered some special kind of bitterness within you, good luck getting over it.
