I don’t think I can ever look at this organization the same way again. It goes to show that you can be a a person at the highest level of your position, conduct yourself in the best way possible for your team and teammates and it still doesn’t matter. That's why I always get so bothered when people call players selfish for not doing something for the team. The team doesn't care about the players. Everyone is replaceable in their eyes.
@codycooper69499 ай бұрын
You can be the most wonderful person/player in the world, but in a rebuild that makes you one of the first to go… I really hope Simmons goes somewhere that has some success. I have a horrible feeling in my stomach that everyone who I love on this team will be gone before the start of the season.

If you get Wilson, he'll light it up without a doubt. I love my team, but Denver didn't give Wilson a good shot. First an incompetent headcoach and we go 5-12 (note how well he played under the interim headcoach after Hackett was fired). Then, ironically, Wilson advocates for Sean Payton, we get Payton, then they don't meld and Payton cuts Wilson. Wilson and Payton's playstyles were so different it was either cut him to find someone who fits or take the time they needed to build something together, and Payton chose the former. I'm bitter about it because I became a _huge_ Wilson fan, even through the rough. This is really all to say that if Tomlin plays Wilson like Carroll did, you'll be playing in the AFC Championship. Just hope that Tomlin doesn't try taking a QB that has always been, and always will be, a run around and find someone QB and try forcing him into a strict timing-based offense. It won't work. People say that isn't a reliable way to play football, but tell that to his 2020 season stats, throwing 40tds and 16ints.

I'm a Seahawks fan and have seen Russ move the ball quickly and successfully. The problem is he would only do it for a 1 or 2 game stretch. Since year one 2012 I have been convinced that Russell can't see over the very well and this is why he doesn't throw over the middle. I still believe this but Geno Smith through the ball outside the numbers more than any QB last year. I have to say he did it very well and his arm strength and accuracy is special. Russ is an awkward guy but he did a great job for us. I sure hope he has a bounce back year with the Steelers. This is the type of team he could play well with. They run the ball rather well and that opens up deep shots and Russell still throws long ball as well as anybody. The Steelers defense is above average. If they are OK with Russ dropping two steps deeper to see better then he should do OK. 26 tds to 8 picks is good no matter how you look at it.

The problem has ALWAYS been that Russ is near impossible to protect as an O-lineman because of his combination of mobility and tendency to hold onto the ball. How the f-k is a lineman supposed to protect his QB when he has to do it for 15 full seconds each play and he has less than no idea whether his QB is on his ass or sprinting 15 yards to the north west?!?!
