Great job! Don’t worry. The “plague” made us all do things we normally wouldn’t do. I too just cleared out a big box of expired or nearly expired food. Luckily I had some relatives that aren’t as queezy as me eating past date food so about 80% got used. They did toss a few things. I just cleared out a bunch of otc drugs as well. So excited you are getting that area redone! ❤❤❤❤❤

That's awesome that you were able to share! I know it's still good that's what makes it so hard for me. I just can't keep up with it all anymore. So happy you were able to clear your stockpile!

You are doing such a great job. I heard a big sigh from you, but you are on the right path to get your home to how you want it. The Pandemic was so difficult, and we dealt with it in many different ways. I too, stockpiled. Let all of it go, it will just haunt you otherwise! Fantastic progress with your basement. From Scotland with hugs, xox

Thank you so much! My mind was constantly focused on all of the "what ifs" I can't do it anymore!

It is difficult to let go of stuff that you paid for but it makes no sense to keep something that you're not going to use especially if it's expired. Thanks for sharing. If you get alot of negative feedback, let that go as well.

Thank you, it's just too much to worry about these days. I've tried to use as much as I can, that's all I can do❤️

You're doing good and you're doing the right thing. It's hard, I know, I'm horrible at throwing food away, but you do what you have to do and if nobody can use it, it needs to be thrown away.

Weaning out some of the plastic storage units is a great idea.

The area has been emptied out and repainted! What a crazy difference...wish I could leave it empty! I'll be getting rid of even more next week❤️

Such a shame at the waste. Couldn't the canned hamburger meat be given to animals? I know when I stoked up, I was eating things up to two years out of date, it was fine. I understand the frustration at wasting money though, never again.

All your decluttering is really making a difference 🎉

I know, the problem was I didn't want to store and manage it anymore. I was keeping the canned meat for my dog for "emergency situations" but I had to get rid of it for my sanity. He has dog food, and if it comes to that we will find a way to feed him.

Things that haven’t expired but you won’t use or have too much can be donated to a food pantry
@homesteadingdreams8046Күн бұрын
Yes I've done that a few times already. Everything that went this time was actually expired 🫣 never again...
