This was a fantastic game to watch. It seems that Filus is in great shape and adjusted his style to be more offensive in some situations of the game. Smart play is when he keeps his opponent playing to his backhand side and then playing a topsin down the line.

Filus is great. Amazing defense and offense. However, Mizutani had wrong tactics. Filus's counterattack is mostly forehand and his backhand is not as strong and consistent. Mizutani should control all the attack to Filus's backhand, and when there is enough space, redirect to the forehand for the kill. That's a very typical strategy against defensive players. I am really surprised Mizutani didn't know that.

Match: Good variation by Ruwen and solid attacks. The placement of his shots was on point. Mizutani lacked power and was uninspired in some situations. Environment: Camera angle was meh, I wasn't able to watch the players properly in some situations. The lighting is odd. It seems like the lights are reflecting on these black tables. What's wrong with a few of World Class high-ranked & experienced Japanese & Korean's performances in this particular tournament? They got paid in advance to play like in Tennis just come to show off? They showed no respect to those lower ranked but committed & competitive players and got their asses kicked out of the tour early and made their names bad from now! They came to play for fun & holiday break or ran away from the Covid-19 in their own countries? Hopefully, It is not Money that will ruin their names and we lost our interests to learn their top class skills while their girls' performances have proved their worths and commitments in their own names. Our supports now go for the underdogs...

I find it sad whenever I see a professional play the defensive style. In my mind it should just be old men at the club level that like to frustrate the heck out of everybody else 🤣 who should be playing that style. Fact is that this style will never be a world champion in the modern era, so why anyone takes it on at this level is beyond me!
