Gulhan needs therapy for several reasons but the main reason is her relationship with her brother. I think she was happy when she told Alper about Halil's love for Zeynep but she was also thoughtless in not being discreet as Halil asked her to be when he confided in her. (1) It's strange how she and Songul rarely talk about or talk to Halil about him getting married or even dating anyone. We all know Songul's ulterior motive to keep Halil single and focused on making money. Songul would only approve of Halil marrying someone like Berna who she thought she could control and in turn, keep Halil under control. It seems that Gulhan is absolutely fine with Halil being single forever, as long as he is there to baby and take care of her. (2) Both Gulhan and Songul have made Halil their surrogate husband. Even though Gulhan is happy that Halil is in love and she knows that Zeynep is a good person, there is an underlying jealousy that Halil will love someone more than he loves her. (3) Gulhan is weak until it comes down to being aggressive with Halil for what she deems to be his own good. It was wrong on many levels when Gulhan removed the engagement ring from Halil's finger. Obviously, if he didn't remove it she shouldn't have removed it. She knew he was in love with Zeynep and she knew that all the bad things that happened to Halil were because he was the cause of the bad situations that he put Zeynep in and then he would save Zeynep from physical harm or dying. Zeynep didn't intentionally put him in the path of harm it was his actions that invariably put him in the path of harm. (4) It was also wrong, selfish and showed controlling behavior when Gulhan used emotional blackmail to force Halil to tell Zeynep the Aslani family had to leave the farm. I don't care about Gulhan's stupid dream of Halil dying, she knew that anything bad that happened to Halil was because of what he did to Zeynep. Gulhan eventually told Zeynep she could stay only because she knew if they left it could possibly cause the deterioration of Grandmother Z's health and could lead to her death.
