I have used this device, on my home!!!!. Works super well Pump is located outside. no noise issue, for my family. *****no need to spend hundreds, no need at all !!! Thx for this video, please send an update.... please before Easter 2020

Update, the accumulator tank is awesome, it pretty much solved my short cycle problem thereby saving the life of the pump from overworking during slow water needs.

Yes I agree… one of the best upgrades I have done to our RV and I have not touched it since I installed it!

@@rvingandseeing3010 Although I can of course hear the pump turn on and off, it is not as loud as I thought it would be based on a couple other videos on it, I expected to have my ears blown out, and mine is right under the kitchen counter with the only sound barrier being the cabinet doors.
@mobilehomelife40283 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, this is very helpful to know. I’m going to be hopefully soon putting in my plumbing and pump and then will decide based on how loud it is and whether not to put accumulator tank in but it definitely sounds like a good idea.

You probably want to mount the accumulator a little further down so you can get at the pressure valve on top with a pressure gauge and pressure pump. Also, a low pressure gauge, like that for ATV tires, is better for reading the pressure in the accumulator. A normal tire gauge is not very good at reading such low pressures, especially the electronic ones.

I have two 0-25 psi pressure gauges from my racing days that are very accurate and I compared the results. Location works fine.

The accumulator pressure should be set at 4 to 5 psi lower than the cut out switch pressure stated on the pump spec’s

Get rid of all the twist on connectors, they will always come loose during transit. Go back to good Ole fashion hose barb with hose clamps.

Curious how many microns is that filter? I just bought the same pressure tank for my cabin and toying with the idea of adding a filter.

It’s a Camco filter and is 5 microns.

Looks good, just wondering why you wanted to put the batteries closer to the water pump, when all your electrical stuff was on the other side of that plywood you put in? Seems like shorter runs on the hoses would have been better too, so you could have kept the water stuff on the right and the batteries on the left in there.
@rvingandseeing30105 жыл бұрын
The batteries need to be on the right because they pair up with the other 2 house batteries that are next to that spot. Short runs for heavy battery cables that feed a large inverter are very important. I also have to build an enclosure around the new batteries and vent it outside. Just easier in that spot.

I'm confused by your connection explanation at 3:54 - is your city water running through the accumulator tank?
@rvingandseeing30103 жыл бұрын
Yes all water runs past the accumulator and then into the filter.
@freejojoey5303 жыл бұрын
@@rvingandseeing3010 ok... i've been looking at diagrams and i've only seen where the city water just tees into the lines past the pump & accumulator. I teed my city water that way and even though I put in a check valve, i'm getting water flowing backwards into my accumulator tank. I just wanted to research more to see if I did my install proper. thanks for the quick reply!

@@rvingandseeing3010I thought it was water filter accumulator pump tap. You seem to have water accumulator filter pump tap
@philarmishaw3730 Жыл бұрын
@@EllenMcDermott it’s pump, filter, accumulator, then out to the system. Or pump, accumulator, filter. Either one works.
@EllenMcDermott Жыл бұрын
@@philarmishaw3730 sorry I don’t understand “out to the system”. I thought it was water supply, pump accumulator and out the tap into the sink

I thought a 60 psi pump requires 55!psi accumulator and a 40 psi pump requires a 35 psi. I thought it was 3 or 4 psi under the pumps psi???
@crazybob1954mo4 жыл бұрын
The accumulator Needs to be mounted as close as possible to the pump outlet. The less pulsating mass between the pump and the accumulator the better the ability to quiet pump pulsation. It looks like you could have mounted it just above the original filter location.
@rvingandseeing30104 жыл бұрын
Yes technically you are correct but I wanted nothing in the way of the new batteries and we don’t even here the pump anymore.

I wanted to mount my right at the pump, but could not due to my error in designing my water system, decided not to redo my whole water setup but yes, connecting to the pump was my preference and I would highly recommend to anyone getting and install the accumulator tank, regardless of how it is connected, it works!

thx for your help/response. i was able to test my new water pump (power autoOn autoOff ) based on pressure. i am finging tjat when the pump has almost reach it preset pressure for turnOff the pump makes a lot of noise /vibrating (scary) can the above issue be resolved with the accessory that you are now installing (as per this video).

would turning up the pressure in the accumulator tank result into lower pressure in the tubes? How much pressure should i put onto the accumulator if my pump has 4,5bar?
@rvingandseeing30105 жыл бұрын
According to the directions I believe you match the cut in pressure for the pump. I can’t remember for sure but it’s printed on the label. Changing the pressure doesn’t have too much effect.

What kind of hose did you use for the connection? Any issues with the rubber hose leaking? It appears you have used PEX clamp style connectors on some of the connections with the rubber hose....correct?
@rvingandseeing30105 жыл бұрын
Don’t use rubber as it make the water taste bad. I had some fibreglass reinforced clear water line. I use a 50 psi regulator so blowout shouldn’t be a problem. I used what I had at home for connections, but pex is the best way. No leaks after the initial retightening of two hose clamps. Works great!
