It sucks that your drone decided to go for a swim. Hope you can get it working. Kevin sure was excited about the frozen bait vending machine. I was waiting for him to jump up and down and ask you "please, please, please dad can we get some frozen bait out of the vending machine, that would be so awesome, please please dad can we." Trip through the tunnel was pretty cool. Another great video. Safe Travels

DJI should be sponsoring you, for all the drone rv people that follow your adventures. You don’t need to name it. We all know what you fly. They should supply you with the Pro series and all the trimmings. That is a Mavic 2 , isn’t it? Great pictures !

I thought you were really funny when you told the drone you were e-vac-ing him. I had heard you should keep all of those little packs of beads that come when you buy things like a new purse or beef jerky. Keep them all in a jar for emergencies like this. They are meant to pull off and repel moisture.

Lorena, this is for you. If you two ever get back to Oregon, you must visit Wildlife Safari right near Roseberg, and I-5. It is a drive thru and totally awesome. My daughter lived in Oregon for a few years and she took myself and girlfriend there, it was the best day. She also booked a ride on the HellGate Jetboat Dinner Excursion for a Mothers’s day gift, what a great ride and dinner, they really know how to do it up. Link for the wildlife tour is WildlifeSafari.net. And the jetboat ride is hellgate.net a real Adrenalin rush.

That tunnel reminds me of the Diehard movie where the water was chasing Bruce Willis through the sewer tunnel. Oh by the way, that fur on the antlers is called "velver" and it peels off after the rack is done growing for the season. You probably knew that, but thought I'd mention it for the inexperienced viewers out there.

Tunnel was scary! We went thru one in Norway. All under water! It was 7 miles. In the tunnel was posted 1 mile in, 2 miles in etc till you got to 4. Then it said 3 miles to out, 2 miles to out etc. they also had panic pull offs ever so often. Crazy!!

The virgin creek falls was beautiful - - sorry about the drone. :’(. Loved the wildlife center. The baby moose was adorable! The way you described the tunnel as one way - - reminded me of “Hotel California” - you can come but you can’t leave!! :D

Nice video of Whittier area. Looks like there’s more buildings and businesses there now compared to when we visited there over 20 years ago. We’ve driven through the tunnel and also been through on the train. You used to be able to drive your vehicle onto the train and ride through in your car. That was fun! Hope you were able to resurrect your drone. Thanks for another great video! 👍😀

Putting an electronic device in rice or a drying agent is about the third thing you do. The first thing you do is make sure the unit is off and do not be tempted to turn it on to see if things work. The second thing is to remove and battery(s) from the unit. The third thing is to dry the unit as much as possible without damaging it. Then whether you put it in ice or a drying agent allow it to sit for at least 24 hours or longer depending on what it is.

You got some real nice drone footage until ...... crunch! Sorry to see that. I have been researching drones and the Mavic Air, that you have, is at the top of my list. One thing I read was the anti collision sensors on drones work best in good light so the darkness of the canyon my have been a contributing factor for the failure of the drone to stop. I noticed in my research DJI, the maker of the Mavic Air, offers an optional policy that is called Care Refresh, which is basically a one year insurance policy for crashes. It is $89 for the policy and then if you wreck it, they will replace it for an additional $69 for the first replacement and $99 for a second replacement. After that you are done. I look at the replacement fee as being similar to a deductible of an insurance policy. They will renew the policy for a second year for I think for $69 if you have any crashes left. It sure beats the original cost of $800. I hope you had Care Refresht but I am thinking you did not since it was not mentioned. It does cover water crashes. If you have to get a new drone, will you get another Mavic Air and what are your thoughts on the Care Refresh option. I am thinking it would be a good idea at least for a new pilot until they get good at flying one of these. It looks like we will have to wait until the next video to find out the fate of the poor Mavic Air.
