You said on one of the previous shows about why you were allowed to live this life. I pondered your statement and wanted to say that I think it is as much for us that you are blessed. Many of us watch and dream with you, some knowing we could never physically do all that you do, but we are bless to share you and your life. It brings us great contentment, and appreciation of what your work ethic. It is a life few will ever obtain, and we cheer you on as you conquer these day to day challenges. It is a life like many of us would love to have, but you moved on the dream. Dick knew that if he didn’t get going he would have lost his dream. I think you have done the same. Thank you for sharing your days in Alaska. They meant so much to me, and it gave me a few more teaching moments to show our young people who would like to go “Into the Wild!” You have indeed been blessed by the Creator and I as well.

You know, I will never be able to adequately express my gratitude. Thanks seems so flat. I loved the vibrant hue of the berries, the water dancing across the rocks and observing the fish as they near the end of their journey. Keep wonder alive. Many thanks.

So close to the 1M. Thanks to you and Cali, I am glad to see it’s within reach. It’s been a long time coming. You have shown so much of the natural beauty this land has to offer and sharing your knowledge to all of us in all your videos. Most of us may not have the opportunity to see the beauty first hand. Thank you so much. I’m sending a big hug to Cali. Looking forward to your continued progress at the cabin.

I miss the mountains so much, with the water and gulls and fish, the berries, the way the whole wilderness smells and feels. I was raised around inland mountains, dry climate, and loved it. Then moved to Seattle, was there for 18 years and oh my gosh, the lush greenery, the water, and TWO sets of mountains! This video is exquisite, the music too. I love this.

Of the many things you could leave as your legacy, I'd say the videography is certainly one big one. The scenery is spectacular but coupling that with the noises and sounds is my favourite. Thanks for sharing your travels and your builds, keep them coming.

Dude, not that don’t enjoy your lifestyle but you have one of the most luxurious lifestyles Ive ever seen, bike, car, 10000 dollar camera, 20 acres land, posting videos on social media every week, and don’t even get me started on the expensive steaks, how is that off grid life? That is so not off grid! But hey, I wish you all the best.

Great video! I left Alaska to retire to Florida (got tired of shoveling snow out of my driveway). But I miss it terribly! I used to do a lot of boating out of Whittier and around to Seward! Used to walk back in towards the tunnel with my boys to fish salmon and you are right. They don't feed but will strike if annoyed enough at your lure!

Shawn, So glad you got to see and experience such a very little bit of Alaska. I have lived here in Alaska since 1974. I grew up here in South Central Alaska. If you will get a hold of me before you come up again I can help steer you into some places you could not even imagined. If you want the real Alaskan experience and not just a tourist traps that the majority of everyone who comes here sees. I can take you into the villages and go hunting and fishing with the natives. I've been from one end of Alaska to almost the other end. Haven't made it to Barrow yet. If your interested I can show you a little sample in pictures.
