Why were the A/C unit covers not removed and the application done up to the lip of entry? Seems like a weak point if you dont do that.

Another video I saw showed the tech doing that. All the fixtures were cleaned and taped just like this one did around the vents. So I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they have changed the way they do things.

Considering RV Armor myself. From another video I watched, to remove the a/c unit and coat up to the flange is an option. It does cost more but he did not state how much.

@@TheFivepoint1994 I called and got an estimate a couple of years ago. It was so high that I felt it would be easier to just trade in my camper every couple of years.

From what I can glean from my research the rule of thumb is 150 dollars per linear foot. Minimum of 3650.

Flexarmor is a much better product IMO. Everything removed from roof and sprayed on 3/16 thick, all seams covered.

If my roof needs to be reskined, can this be applied directly to the plywood?

No!!

@@mjremy2605 @ssteele1812 Yes, it can. However RV armor doesn't recommend it. We've done it multiple times over my 15 year career and it hold up fine to roof decking, albeit more labor because you'd have to tear off the existing tpo/edpm roof and all components so it's better/cheaper to make repairs to the existing roof and coat from there :)

If the air conditioners aren't removed and it put under them and if the vent covers aren't removed as well I'd never have it done

What a scam. You can buy the roll on roofs at HD for 60$ a can. Takes 2 cans.

How can I get this done if I don't know what it is? Sounds like a scam. What are these materials that will last a lifetime? Where is the Material Data Sheet? What product is it- Acrylic or Silicone? Why the big mystery???!!!!
