Great posts. Two questions 1. Where did you get the garage hooks?They look great. 2. Do you have a tutorial for the 12v LED light install. Couldn't see the what you used as a backing strip for them to mount to.

Thank you! I think the garage hooks may have been Home Depot or Lowes, but I recently bought some similar ones in all black here: amzn.to/42LLqkT On the LED strip shown in video I used just thin strips of aluminum from hardware store as backer, but recently I did a more refined install and used this extruded aluminum channel instead...a bit cleaner, just a little more cost $$: amzn.to/42RgDTB

Great video. I too installed the MORryde sliding cargo tray that pulls out from either side in our 5th wheel as well. At the time I ordered it, I didn't account for the rise in the door so I made my risers out of plywood. I just ripped strips a little wider than the mounting feet and covered the risers with similar grey, needle-punched carpeting that Keystone used in the rest of the basement. It looks very OEM. I love the idea of the access doors to the business side of the basement. I may just borrow that concept and add that to my basement. Thanks again for another great video. Safe travels.

Thank you! Great thinking on the plywood risers. The metal ones are pricey.

Do you have a video on how to hook up the LED lights?
@AdventureRocks7 ай бұрын
I do not, but if it helps, I borrowed power from the existing storage LED motion lights that were there already. Jayco uses those handy Wago lever nuts, so pretty straight forward to tap into existing power. In the video I used a piece/strip of aluminum stock from hardware store to mount the LED strips too, but they also make nicer aluminum extruded c-channel as alternate: amzn.to/3VyyjBH

Hi, I was looking for the link to the wet bay gasket. Great idea as I had a water pump diaphragm let loose one time. A gasket would have prevented some overflow. Also looking for the link to the bins. It’s probably about time I did this modification. Enjoy your ideas and videos, thank you! Kevin

Lots of great tips! Thanks for sharing. Did you put your LED's on some type of track to stick them? Curious as to how you attached them to the ceiling studs. Thanks!
@AdventureRocks Жыл бұрын
Thank you. They make a plastic c channel that LED strips can snap into and then mount, but I just took a thin 3/4" strip of aluminum from home center and mounted them to that instead.

Could you do a video how you install the LED strip lights in your cargo bay ?

I could probably try to work that in over next month or so. What model RV do you have?

Did you use a power supply or direct wire to the 12v circuit

How did you wire that switch for the pump? I love that!
@AdventureRocks Жыл бұрын
My Pinnacle came with the pump switch already from factory thankfully, but on my last RV I had to add the pump switch to wetbay. A cheap/easy way to add switch is to do an "in-line" switch where you just add a new switch in-line at the wetbay (interupting power to pump) given most RVs have the water pump within a few feet of the wet bay, so minimal wiring. Basically adding a new in-line switch is just interupting the existing power fed to it. Downside of in-line switch is it isn't like a 3-way switch where you can use both inside and outside switches at the same time, rather you have to make sure they are on/off in sequence for pump to work. Hope that makes sense, kinda confusing.

Great video. How did you wire the LED lights?
@AdventureRocks2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Yes on the LED strip...Since the draw on the LED lights is so low, I just tapped 12V power off the existing motion LED lights that are in the storage bay. Then just added the switch to turn them on or off. If you've got similar fifth wheel you'll see the 12V wires feeding motion LEDs just behind the sliding service panel. Here are the products I used: LED Strip Light amzn.to/3TbWBgJ Light Switch amzn.to/3CFMtY2

Are your quick connect in your wet bay angled? It appears so. Where did you get them?
@AdventureRocks2 жыл бұрын
Glad to help. Two piece actually, so the shut-offs are 45 degree and then I've got regular quick connects attached to them. The quick connects have o-rings in them so I find sometimes every 1-3 years I have to replace the o-rings or entire piece depending on how they hold up. Here are links to both: Quick Connect Fittings for Hose amzn.to/3CiuWUp Angled Shut-off Connectors amzn.to/3ExQDT4

What did you use to mount the riser to the deck and size?
@AdventureRocks Жыл бұрын
It's been a while since I installed it, but I'm thinking the kit may have come with screws to mount to the subfloor. They are basically wood screws, about 1-1.5 in long. Just need to go through subfloor basically. If it didn't include them I must have had some surplus laying around.
