Sewer is the last thing you touch once setting up. First Eletric then water then RUBBER GLOVES then sewer

There are SO many things wrong with this video. Watch this video if you have NEVER SEEN another video on RV Campground Set-up Procedures. This gives you a GENERAL idea of what to do, but there are things that you MUST HAVE before you hook these individual things up. Whether it was a legal issue and not being able to "endorse products" or whatever, but things like water surge protectors/regulators, "Y" adapters for the water hook-ups, water filters, various sewer hose adapters (like a "donut") AND GLOVES, etc., ALL ARE MUST HAVES before you hook up to a campsite!!! If you hook up like THIS, you run a VERY good chance of power surges, water pressure issues, black water contamination and a slew of other problems!

Hi there -- we've been out a few years between a pop up and now a travel trailer camper -- been looking around to get some tips and hacks to make the travel easier -- The one thing that I picked up and would share is wehn you are getting in the site with a slide - you didn't address this in your video - most people use a tape measure -- what I do now is = I have a peice of 1x2 painted orange that is 6 in longer than the distance from my tires to the end of the extended slide - so before you back in (or pull through) put the 1x2 down at the closest obstacle and keep the wheels to the outside of the 1x2 and boom!! there you are placed with enough room for the slide . Just a thought to make set up a bit easier -- Happy Travels

I think he’s showing the basic hookups. But you’re correct I would have at least explain that. Leave it to the person if they decide to use those things. I use all those you mentioned. Even rubber gloves when I’m handling the sewer hose ( regardless if I’m only touching the outside of the hose). And then thoroughly rinse it out after use.

No, side to side level first, since you'll need to move the trailer. Then front to back level.

Do you leave the water hose running from the pole. So you won’t need to turn on the pump.

Would you be able to do this with a park model rv? The ones that look like tiny stick built homes? Or does that require it to be hardwired to the electrical and sewer/city water?

I think he set up things backwards. I was told and all the research I have done, you always level your rig first, then hook up to electricity then water, and last sewer???

A lot of things missed in this video. 1) Wear gloves when you’re dumping your tanks. 2.) Use a pressure regulator and water filter. 3.) Do not level front to back first. Go side to side.

This video is posted by an RV rental company, so I am shocked that no mention whatsoever was made of a surge protector for the electricity nor of a water pressure regulator or filter. So I'm really left wondering if there's a spike in voltage that fries the appliances, or a high pressure water issue that blows out the plumbing (RVs= approximately 45 psi), does your company cover the cost of the damages since no education was given on these issues? I have a travel trailer, and if I went near Nashville to visit family and we needed another RV at a campground to fit everyone, I'd be scared to rent from you for these reasons. Renters beware! What you don't know can cost you dearly!

Poor explanation regarding leveling. Please also double check whether you should directly plug into campsite socket, i believe an intermediary device should intervene.

I don't want to be a hater on RVs but terms like 'CROSS CONTAMINATION, BLACK WATER, GREY WATER'...is a joke. It's been 100 years and RV prices are through the roof but they still haven't improved the sewage system? They have made electric cars, self driving cars, and yet no matter how expensive RVs are, you still have to touch the hoses, direct it towards a dump station and smell the pooh and peeh and still feel some splatter. There should be no hoses anymore. Dump stations should only be a hole and RVs have to only drive over it dump whatever you have and move out in less than a minute. All RVs these days should have already an automated dumping system.
