This Week we are installing the Electrical box, fabricating the Radiator overflow bracket, adding sound deadener to the 2005 American Coach RV Generator! This has been a big rebuild of the CAT Generator.

Wow, great progress! A busy 3-days in 35-minutes! Something to think about... An electric parabolic shaped heater. Costco, Lowes, Home Depot, Amazon all have them online, about $80. The radiant heat warms your soul with no blowing dust or noise. It will heat your work area as you work without heating the whole shed. It can take the chill off or help dry paint. I love mine. The generator looks fabulous btw.

Devine, indeed. You put that bolt in a special place. That's where I put everything important, and then I forget where that special place is. :) It came out nice!

I see you have the portable heater going, I've been using a couple of those almost none stop, glad I bought a few extra tanks that I keep full. The generator is looking really nice and of course it will be allot quieter!! I got my spray foam all done and will be getting the septic system in starting Monday and pouring the approach ramp and sidewalk on Wednesday, also will try and get the garage doors installed this coming week. Take care and don't work too hard!.

Make sure you check that 1/2" fine thread. I have run into it before and there are at least three different fine threads (not counting course) factory made. I had a pot puller that was from a small factory and the ss 1/2" fine thread was a 32tpi whereas most you see are a 28 if memory serves me right. Machinery Handbook listed at least four different fine threads. Then to complicate it further there are metric ones that are really close but aren't proper.

Isn’t that crazy! Yeah I ended up just ordering most of them from the generator people but had to fill the gaps with Amazon.., everything seemed to go together fine so far!

Looks better than new!! Almost there man!! Looking great! I’ll trade ya the weather,, after Tuesday here,,,, 😂😂. Wet snow/rain mix for Wed-Sat at least!! Haha. Another foot forecast out at the cabin!! Great weather to help with the drought here though. I took a loonngggg time clearing the road and hauling the snow off to a creek to melt it & wash it away. The place wintered fine & looks great! Both cabins are done, but landscaping needed at the new one. Easy work, but even with 4 days of temperatures going to the low to mid 50s for 4 more days,,, I’m still gonna have at least a foot of snow/ice mix on the ground, so we are a month away. Hauled out enough wood for 4 sections of 10ft x 12 ft decks welll interlock basically at right angles to ne the deck/stairs out of the new cabin! There will be a 10 x 12 pergola built into one section etc. it’s sitting by the cabin wrapped in tarps for now!! I was there on my own so unloading all of that by hand was enough for the day yesterday!! Gonna enjoy the melt here,,,, 2 hours away at our primary home, there’s not a drop of snow, the tulips are blooming, it’s surprising what 95 miles as the crow flies and 1500 feet in elevation can do to the weather patterns. The cabins are right about 5,000 ft above sea level. (4980). The snow line here basically. Oh well, good moisture!! Tomorrow is ice fishing!! No signs of bears yet. Some nice wolf tracks as well as deer moose etc. I think I found a set of cougar tracks, but they had snow blown in, so hard to tell. The spacing is suspicious. I hope not,,, I’ll face a Momma Grizzly over a motivated cougar. Be carrying bear spray & my bear gun over my back when I’m out in the wilderness. If you have a cougar on you, they are only there for one reason. Haven’t seen one yet, in all these years, in the wild. I’m ok with it staying that way. They move around a lot though, so if it was one, it was likely moving through hoping to find some deer etc. No fresh kills I could locate,,,. Maybe just a big Lynx. They are as rare as the cougars, but not quite as shy and they don’t hunt ya!! 😂😂. Sorry, you may not care,,,, haha. I get it. I bet you are just chomping to get the generator in the bus & take it out for a nice shakedown trip!!! I have no doubt you will barely hear it so much as feel it!! Should be nice. You are meticulous!! 😊

Interesting, glad you got up to the cabins, I sure wouldn’t want to face a grizzly… was always aware of that when I lived in Alaska… we have cougar… or I guess Bobcat here every once in a while… I don’t want to mess with any if them! All beautiful though. Yeah I am ready for a road trip!!
