Congrats and welcome to the life! We've been doing it (in a van) for a bit over 5 years and my tip is "You'll still be learning and adapting 5 years in. Don't think you'll have it all figured out after the first trip or first year. And that is actually great as it doesn't get stale." Enjoy the journey and the learning along the way. As for some of our favorite places: Great Sand Dunes/Zapata Falls area, Natural Bridges National Monument, Oliver Lee State Park, Big Bend National Park. We're from North Carolina, so love visiting the Southwest.

Congratulations and welcome to the EKKO family. We did the same thing last year. We are in our mid-late 50’s and empty nesters for a year now. Last year we jumped and did our retirement plan early. Sold the big house and moved to our retirement home with an RV garage and bought our very first RV ever - an EKKO E23/T23. We have no regrets on making this move earlier than our predicted plan and enjoying this lifestyle while we are still young and strong… Enjoy your EKKO and your RV adventures.

Welcome to RV Life. We also joined RV Life after becoming empty nesters. We have found a ton of fun with the Switch Crew after following Todd and Sheila Koniter from "Switch It Up". They have a huddle next September in Spearfish, SD that I highly recommend. Just remember to take it slow and use a checklist to setup and teardown.

Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 I am so happy for you 🙂🙂🙂 I can still remember getting ours. We bought ours in Tampa Florida. They have a huge delivery lot with hook ups. We stayed 10 days. They spent an entire day showing us how everything worked. There were four employees in the lot daily if you had any questions. Of course we did. We even found a few things during that time that required a little attention. They took care of everything including hooking up the tow system so we could flat tow our car. So far our longest trip had been two months. We went from Florida to Cheyenne Wyoming. Then Oakley Kansas, Wichita Kansas, Oklahoma City, Memphis Tennessee then back home to Florida. I hope you have the most amazing time ever. I always tell people, you are not living until you spend the night in a Sam's Club parking lot watching a movie while doing a load of laundry. We have a Class A diesel pusher with an onboard washer and dryer with a 136 gallon fresh water tank. We can even do laundry while driving down the road. One of the great things about a motorhome is your bathroom and kitchen are available for the passenger while you drive down the road. Happy travels. 😊
