Thanks so much, it does a great job at cutting the charge time, I also let LiTime know about the lug size and they were very appreciative, I'm hoping they make a change in future production.

@@thewanderingshores Thank you so much! I (we) think this is a really smart purchase for sure, especially if its working that quickly. I see a strong need for this especially boondocking. Have a great weekend.

@@Journey2Everywherefor sure, what used to take Chris hours and hours to charge is now down to about an hour and a half with his current setup. He ended up just mounting it in his rig semi-permanently so anytime he's running his generator he's also getting a high amperage charge

My batteries haven't seen how solar is affected by clouds in a long time. Can't remember the exact date..... but it was before I ditched the three 100w 12v panels and replaced them with one 315w 36v panel.

Looks like a handy unit to charge the batteries quicker. - Jim & Michelle

Yeah, definitely a helpful way to charge the batteries much faster. Chris has actually got it installed in his camper in a semi-permanent way since he has a much harder time charging the batteries while using the generator than I do. We appreciate you checking it out- Kyle and Michelle

Great info Kyle - that should help you charge much quicker. Those lugs were very small, good for pointing that out. What is the gauge of that wire ? Good job on the review - very helpful.

Thanks bob, I'm actually not sure the guage, let me check and get back with you. I do know they are stranded copper so they are higher quality. Checking with Rob, he is a better resource on that type of thing. I'll let you know what he says.

Rob said he thinks 8 guage, but might be 6.

Kyle, this is something we are very interested in. We have a 3500 Max Peeding generator bur when plugged into our camper gives us great power but very limited charge through our converter. This devis would solve that problem. I currently have four Battleborn 100 AH batteries. I see them on sale for about 250 right now. We should be at the LTVA near the imperial dam in less than two weeks. Burlington Bill

Ya this thing would charger your batteries much faster and work great for you guys. We have it installed in Chris' rig now since he has a bigger need for it than I do with his converter issues. See you in a couple weeks- Be Safe, Kyle

Question one. Because im a numbers/specs geek. Id like to know what 120AC amperage draw the charge consumes when charging at 70-80 amps. Why I think thats an import number, is generator application sizing. No need to run a 5000 watt gen. if a small 2200w will run it. I run a small gen sized to my charger. I may upgrade my gen soon, but would need to know to size properly. Also, knowing battery charge specification is important. Some LiFePO4 batteries have a much lower maximum charge rating.

That is a great question, let me see if my buddy has a watt meter and we can test that for you. It might be a day or two before I get back to you but if he has one I'll let you know. I can tell you when I was running it to charge my Renogy batteries I was selling I had no problem with my 3000w but I'll work on getting you the numbers.- Kyle

David I got the info for you, so at max it would be pulling around 1170 watts (when charing at 80amps) but goes down as you know as the battery getts closer to full. So a 2000 watt generator would work without an issue as long as you don't have high power stuff running at the same time. - Kyle
