As the mother of an Army soldier, I’m so happy we did so well for those veterans. She’s an MP and about a month ago she made Sargent! I’m so proud of her! She’s stationed in Germany and she’ll be here on leave for the whole month of August. I can’t wait!!!!!

FYI there is parking available in Winslow AZ at I-40 exit 253 by McDonalds and a Safeway grocery store across the street. It is a dirt lot with some deep holes so be carful. A lot of truckers use it because the truck stop fills up quick.

Phil, one word .. Starlink. It's not "mobile" yet. But it IS movable. meaning when you're stationary, speeds around 270/20 off with ~40ms ... is a game changer.
@sfcdale3 жыл бұрын
I am waiting till starlink is out of beta and they will sell me Dishey McFlat face. I will of course to try it mobile. But the rub is going to be you need an open sky some where around 160 ish degrees facing north. I think it will be much more useful in the Open planes in the West then the tree covered east.

G'day from OZ.....the land down under. I love your guys channel. I have just retired and I'm living in my 24ft van that I purchased when I retired. I am living in it in a van park. People keep asking when are you going to hit the road....well I have a Hyundai all 4 door hatch....so that means my car could not pull the skin off a custard. If I ever meet Mr right that may change. But I just want to share that living in a van is the best. No lawns to mow. No repaint...etc etc...like I said you guys give great advice. Wonder if you could do a video for people who are making their van there home. Keep the video's coming

Guys, thank you for communicating with Sam's Club before over-nighting there. There are so many people that refuse to do that courtesy to businesses, thinking that they are somehow entitled to park on someone else's property without permission. This will potentially ruin this great opportunity for RV's.

When you first started showing the interior of the store, your cameral panned across either a carving or a casting of a Native Woman that was beautiful! The detail was incredible, yes I stopped the video and went back to where the statue was and paused the video so I could get a better look at it.

Thanks for the video and everything you do for our Veterans! Hubby is a Vietnam Veteran and he is a retired DOD employee and I retired from the Dept. of Veterans Affairs. We got the Military Living 2021 RV, Camping travel guide after you showed it on one of your videos. We usually just check the military website but this gives us more details in one place. Our favorite Military RV campground so far is Blue Angels Recreation Area in Pensacola, FL. We didn't think we could stay on military bases because Hubby was just in the army 3 years but because he retired after 32 years with the Department of Defense that made him eligible. We found that out from a couple we ran into while in Alaska so we got to stay on base in Anchorage and in Seward Alaska. He has a retired DOD badge so we had ID. Hope we run across you two some day. Maybe at Gunterhill COE in Alabama.

Even in my regular truck (I don't have a rig yet), I can only drive a maximum of 4 or 5 hours in a day, and 5 is really pushing it. By that time, I'm needing a nap, fighting highway hypnosis, and needing to pull over for the night. I've always been that way; need frequent breaks of 20+ minutes besides. As I get older, it's getting worse; I wouldn't like to drive more than 3 hours in one day now. I don't see how you guys, or those long-haul truckers do it! (I hope they reimbursed you for your discount since the problem was a glitch on their end!)
@dannycary61923 жыл бұрын
I use a TSD fuel card. It is usually more options if traveling on an interstate. That gives you more options for fuel savings. I don’t have much savings at Loves. If your not careful you will pay more with the discount there than what it cost you across the street. I do like the savings though, I have saved 60 cents a gallon before. It all helps. Be safe!

Re. Small Cracker Barrel lots. Last February we stopped at a Cracker Barrel in Covington, LA that ended up having a small lot. There was an Academy Sports next to it with a nice roomy parking lot. I asked the manager there if it would be OK for us to overnight in his lot and he gave us the green light. We had dinner at Cracker Barrel and stopped into the Academy after where I picked up a light jacket I needed. Sure appreciated their hospitality!

A can of Coke Classic will melt off stubborn, dried, stuck on bugs…especially Love Bugs. Just pour it on your windshield or vehicle body, wipe down, and rinse. You can also remove acid from your battery. Just liberally pour it on the battery and let in boil it off. Rinse well.

Great video! It's fun watching you two in action. Never a dull moment! Our son retired last November after 14 years in the US NAVY so we are proud NAVY mom and dad. Go NAVY! On another note, I was hoping to find out about your Walmart stop south of Odessa as our daughter and family moved from Montana to that area about 3 weeks ago. I looked at last week's video but didn't notice any mention of it so am hoping you can shed some light on which Walmart it was that you stopped and stayed at.

Thanks Susan. We stayed at the Fort Stockton Walmart, off of I -10. Tons a space. Retired after 14 years? Was it a medical retirement? Go Navy!
@susansmith75073 жыл бұрын
@@todayissomeday Thanks for letting me know where that Walmart is located. No, it wasn't a medical retirement for our son. I should have said military separation, but I'm not always up on the terminology. He just got tired of all of the politics. His other reason was that he wanted to be able to be near his paternal grandparents, ages 91 and 93, who are both in a nursing home in a small town in SE Montana near where he was raised. He was really close to both of them growing up there.
